This Review Is Really a ZERO 8/7/2023

Dr. Michelle Giroux, MD was not helpful at all. I do not recommend this doctor. When asked for more help - she would choose a facility that costs $2400 a month to put a child with uncontrollable behavior. Also, she had no knowledge of different meds. just kept increasing the same medication and had the child at the highest dose. Changed doctors - new doctor prescribed new meds and said the child should not have been prescribed that dose of medication nor do we take that med now. Plus the new doctor can think outside the box. Dr. Giroux should have stated she didn't have the knowledge to go any further and referred us to another doctor. Thank God we changed doctors. Now we have a real doctor that can practice real medicine and a child who acts normal. more

Great Doctors! poor customer service 7/16/2012

The thing that aggravates me the most about this place is the closed time during lunch. The turn off the phones and noon and say to call back at 2pm. I've never gotten in touch with someone at this office until after 2:30pm. You still get the "closed for lunch, call back at 2pm" at 2:20pm, 2:30, etc... Heaven forbid you have an emergency between 12 and 2:30pm. more

Wish I could give a lower score 5/12/2011

My son we diagnosed with Primary Complex while overseas. Upon returning to the U.S. we took him to Children’s Medical Center in Poswdersville. The front office staff made us feel like we were bothering them anytime we had a question. I didn't take much offence as this seems to be quite common in most offices; however the thing that most upset me is that the doctor told us that she would give us a referral for an infectious disease doctor in the area. Four days later we had not received the referral, I called to ask for the referral and was told it would be another 4 days. I pressed the issue with the staff and explained that 4 days was too long. They called back and said it would be 2 weeks before they could give me the referral my son needed. I took matters into my own hands called an infectious disease doctor and was able to schedule an appointment for the following day. I have no need to pay a doctors office to give me a referral that I have to get myself. more

They are great! 3/30/2010

They are growing and adding to the staff there but they haven't lost the personal feel. I really do like them. I usually get in and out really quickly. Their office is very clean. Best of all, I love the seperate waiting areas for sick kids and well kids (until my kids are the ones sick). more

Childrens Medical Center Powdersville 11/25/2005

If you are having a baby, or have just moved to the area and are looking for a pediatrican, I highly recommend Children's Medical Center. We use the Powdersville office, but there are several offices in the upstate area, with the main branch in Greenville. Anytime I have a question, I can call and talk to a nurse to get anwers. The 2 doctors at our office are both wonderful, and take the time to answer any questions that we have. The nurses are great, and very quick with the shots. If you need to get a late appointment or even go on a Saturday, the Greenville office is open at those hours. The doctors also work at St. Francis and Greenville hospitals. more

Fantastic Pediatricians and Nurses! 8/21/2005

I am so grateful that my son is a patient at Children’s Medical Center in Powdersville. We started going there a couple of weeks before his first birthday. We switched to their practice due to several very bad experiences at our previous pediatrician. I am so glad that we switched. Even though we drive almost twenty-five minutes to get to their office in Powdersville, it is worth it. They also have evening at weekend hours (emergencies only on Sundays) at their office in Greenville. We have made many trips over there (nearly an hour’s drive) and we are so thankful that they offer this service. I can't leave out the nurses and office staff. They make stressful moments more bearable. They are always professional and caring. more
