Wonderful 11/17/2009

Before moving to another state, I worked for CF for over 7 yrs. Out of all my jobs I have ever worked, this one was, by far, the very best! There were some times when I wasn't entirely happy, but the larger percentage of time I was incredibly happy! (There is no job in the world you can honestly say you are 100% happy all the time for many years!)I really appreciated that their main concern was for the children we took care of. They really went out of their way to make sure the kids were treated well, and had the best possible life, living as close to normal as each child's condition would allow. The parents and other staff I worked with were great. The company made sure we were trained on all the different equipment, and made sure to match us up regarding our experience with each child. I would recommend this company to any parent with a child in need of medical help, or any nurse who is truly looking for a job that needs caring, passionate people. more

I USED TO WORK FOR THE COMPANY AND I LOVED IT BUT UNFORTUNATE I HAD TO LEAVE TO TAKE CARE A LOVED ONE BUT NONE THE LESS THIS IS A WONDERFUL COMPANY TO WORK FOR AS WELL AS TO SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO GET THE CARE THEY DESERVE..... Pros: THUMBS UP YES AS WELL AS THEY HAVE GOOD SERVICE FOR THE PATIENTS Cons: THERE ARENT ANY more

Children First really stands by its name 11/15/2008

This is the best home health company that I have ever come into contact with. My family has used this company for all of our needs since 1998 and I would definately recommend them to every person that I can think of . I love the atmosphere and the kindness that every person shows us when we come into the office or to the many events that they sponsor for the children around that holidays, I would recommend this wonderful company to anyone who has a child with special needs and needs home health care, home bound therapy, or medications and supplies delivered to there home. more

Very Happy!! 10/23/2008

We have just begun working with Children First and couldn't be happier. The staff has been extremely helpful. Our needs have been met expeditiously. Our child's needs have been first and foremost. Everytime we speak, we are truly listened to by whoever we are talking to. As I said, we are just at the beginning of our journey with Children First, but so far it has been our pleasure. We would recommend their services to anyone with a special needs child. And we would know. We have unfortunately, been there, done that. Our two special needs sweeties mean the world to us, so the services that are provided for them is our uptmost priority. The service that we have been provided by Children First has been fantastic. We are looking forward to a long and enjoyable relationship with everyone with Children First! Pros: Service, Attention, Provisions, Benefits Cons: None so far more

Not helpful to children 7/27/2008

I was very disappointed with Childrens First. The staff is very unfriendly, they all sit around and rather\r gossip, not help the clients. The staff is very unprofessional, their personal conversations with other staff \r members are not discreet, I over heard stuff that was appalling !!!!! Especially the pharmacy techs they were very unpleasant and rude and would rather talk about their boyfriends and soon to be exhusbands and all their problems so everyone can hear. A group of of very uncaring, unprofessional people.\r I want to have my child in a place where people truly care about the patients. These children are deserving of at least this and the parents too. I was especially upset by a pharmacy tech who was so rude, to me. She needs to be in a different type of work. I hope she has no children at home or if she does she is not rude and nasty to them like she was to a child I saw there at Childrens. She ignored this child that came up to her and was trying to be friendly and this pharmacy tech was not friendly or even nice to this little child.\r I was so disgusted, I would not refer this facility to anyone. Cons: Rudeness to patients and parents, pharmacy tech's especially. not helpful. more

They are AWFUL!!! 6/13/2008

We were referred to them by Early Steps, and I was apalled by their conduct. They took a month to get their stuff in order to send me a therapist, the one they sent was DREADFUL, and when I never heard from her and called to check on our status, they told me it was because of my childs ""condition"". When I asked them to elaborate on that, I found out their records said my son was hearing impaired, which he is not. I contacted Eary Steps and told them there was no way I could continue with this agency, their office staff is terrible, they can't keep records in order or cases straight, and their speech therapist had such a low voice and mumbled, I could barely understand her, let alone my child. Thankfully, we were allowed to return to the awesome therapist we had before we entered Early Steps, but had we not I would not have continued witth this agency. I don't know how anyone could consider their conduct or treatment acceptable. Pros: None that I could find, but maybe that they come to you Cons: They STINK!, awful office staff, awful therapist, awful record keeping! more

Wonderful Home Care Experience 5/15/2008

I was very impressed with this agency. They responded to my needs and if there was a need they were unable to meet, they were upfront about it. I live in a very small town and it's hard to get nurses to come out this far but ChildrenFirst manages to get them out here. Sometimes they will call and tell me they can't get me a nurse for a certain shift and though it's an inconvenience, I stay with the agency simply because my experience with the other agencies have been so much worse. I have found the nurses to be very friendly and truly care about my son. They have no problem offering solutions or advice when they see me struggling since they see many families in my situation and are able to tell me how others do it. The Therapist that comes out is ALWAYS happy to see my son. They use everyday objects from around the house and that allows me to continue the therapy with my son whenever he's in the mood. I highly recommend ChildrenFirst to anyone that is looking for home care service. Pros: Honest. Convenient. more

The Children are NOT First priority here... 4/30/2008

I'm not a picky person. I'm not a complainer. I'd say I'm easy to get along with. But this company stinks, plain and simple. There are other Home Health agencies, and if you're looking for care for your child, I'd reccomend finding one besides this one. \r \r These people were completely unwilling to work with me to get the supplies my daughter needed, even though my insurance company was willing to pay. The supplies phone rep. seemed to think I was a burden for calling and checking to see if the needed supplies were avaliable. The manager never returned my phone calls. I have been patient with them as long as I can be, but their uncaring attitude is pitiful. I feel as if my precious daughter meant nothing to them. ""Children First""??? I THINK NOT!!! Please consider another Home Health agency!!! Cons: This company considers the customer, the child, LAST-- not FIRST! more

Good business, great care and friendly. 2/14/2008

I have nothing but good things to say about this company. They have excellent caregivers . The staff treats the family and the child with respect and try to help any way they can. I would recommend them to other special needs families. Pros: knowledgeable, friendly therapy staff. more

A blessing for my family 12/20/2007

My nine year child has been with Children First ever since coming home from the hospital as a baby. I rely on them for nursing, pharmacy, therapies, and equipment. I could not handle the demands of my child's life without them. God Bless everyone at the company. Pros: Compassionate, honest and skilled people throughout the company. Cons: That my child is sick and will always need so much care. more

Scandalous 11/23/2007

There are always other options. Keep looking. Whether for employment or to place your child. If you have integrity and would like to keep it, this is not the place for you. God bless. Pros: Caring nurses in the homes. Cons: Unreliable staffing department, untrustworthy owner/operator, VERY deceiving, more
