We recently used Chicagoland Flooring to install new hardwood and tile floors in our home. After searching out quotes and consultations, we found that they were very knowledgeable about all of the options we were considering. Their professional training was the greatest asset, especially when we found out that our job site conditions were not proper. Because of their advice our hardwood floors were installed properly and they look still great. They take time to assure everything is completed correctly and did so under challenging conditions. I got quotes from a few flooring contractors, but these folks were the most impressive. They emailed me estimate for floor sanding within one day after I responded to their online questions. These guys have a really good website and they are certified by National Wood Flooring Association. They followed through with responses to all my concerns regarding the project. It really helped my anxiety that I was able to exchange a lot of emails with them. You do not do these projects very often. Once started, everything was done in a timely fashion and everybody was very professional and courteous. The cost of the work was very reasonable for the quality. They were very professional and knowledgeable. They stressed that they were trained by National Wood Flooring Association and it looked like that it made a difference. We talked to them about our situation and they were really interested in giving us honest advice. After using their special testers and moisture meters, they suggested that we should wait a few months before sanding floors. We had just water leak repaired in the crawlspace and floors were not dry enough. Other companies gave us quick quotes for quick job. We liked that they gave us a formal written estimate using email. They charged a very reasonable price. After a few months they tested floors again and floor were ready. They started and finished the job in the time that they told us that they were going to finish. The crew was professional, courteous, and personal. They also repaired 2 broken boards. You can not tell them apart. I could not be more satisfied with this project. The floor looks beautiful. Working with them completely changed my outlook about dealing with contractors. Communication was good, including emails, and pictures sharing. The estimate was fast and accurate.
