Check Mark Services is a great inspection company. Jeff was very personable and able to answer all my questions. He walked me through anything I I was unsure about. The report I received was very thorough and highlighted all major issues. After the inspections and receiving the report, Jeff walked me through the report and all the questions I had. He made me more comfortable with the findings in the report. I decided against making a final offer on the house based on the inspection but it was worth the money spent. I recommend Check mark services and I will be using them again in the near future. more

I have used the services of Jeff Molloy (Check Mark Services) on several occasions. His home inspecting skills are equalled by few and his service by none. He is always fair, honest and fun to work with. If you don't want to hear the good and the bad go elsewhere, because he is going to give you everything. I have used Jeff for 3 inspections and can tell you that he has saved us much more then the cost of the inspections on every occasion. We were so pleased to find Jeff as he is straight talking individual who evidently is great at his job and enjoys it. Our Realtor was so impressed with him she is going to recommend him to all of her clients. Jeff actually performed 2 inspections for us and on the basis of his report we did not proceed with the purchase of the first property as he identified so many issues the place was screaming 'money pit'. We are first time home buyers and were emotionally attached to what we thought was our first property but Jeff presented the information and took the time to explain all aspects so we could make an informed decision. I am pleased to say the second inspection was just as thorough and did not show as many issues. Check Mark Services (Westchester Infrared Inspections) helped me identify a leak problem that I had with my shower. I had 2 Plumbers come by and neither could locate the leak. Jeff Molloy, The inspector used thermal imaging equipment to try to locate the problem...to no avail! Bad news you say? No. Jeff kept working on the problem diagnosis for almost 1 1/2 hours and BINGO!, he had a strange request. Go take a shower he said...I was a bit skeptical but once I got into the shower it only took about 3-4 minutes when he told me he could see the leak with the camera. There was a problem with my shower pan/drain that only "opened up" when my weight was no the tile floor of the shower. It was very obvious with the infraded image that Jeff showed me. I was impressed with his tanacity in wanting to find the problem, and actually doing so! Thans so much. TominRye more

Before you choose a home inspector search us and see our reviews all over the internet - Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you probably will not get to meet me until after you hire me. Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and yes, different pricing. One thing for sure is that a home inspection requires work, a lot of work. Ultimately a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector’s own effort. By Louis 11/06/2009 I cannot recommend Check Mark services for home inspections highly enough. Jeff Molloy recently inspected a house we are considering purchasing. He was able to fit us into his schedule on very short notice, but still left more than a four hour window to complete the inspection. He was incredibly thorough, objective, and knowledgeable. During the inspection, he explained all his findings and answered all my questions. The comprehensive report he provided (including numerous photos and diagrams) was very helpful because it includes all the information that you forgot or didn't understand during the inspection. An excellent product at a very fair price. more

About 6 months ago we had Check Mark come out and give us an air quality review. It was pretty straight forward...the inspector looked for obvious mold sources, water leaks etc. He also checked our A/C and heating equipment for proper operation and general condition. Most items were in good shape, but the Inspector explained the the use of inexpensive filters in our air handling was not doing us any favors. I was a bit skeptical at first but am now happy the we decided to try the the high quality filters that Check Mark recommended. They were custom measured and fitted at no charge to us and my wife claims she has noticed the difference in house dust and animal hair (we have two large dogs so that used to be a problem). Maybe I'm imagining it but I seem to be sneezing/coughing less too. With a total cost of less the $250.00 for BOTH of our A/C systems combined I'm convinced it was worth it. - Thanks for your honest "try the simple thing first" approach. Steve W. Check Mark uses many hi-tech tools to perform their inspections. Infrared camers, moisture meters, gas detectors Etc. This makes for a for a better more complete idea of a homes problems. Photo packed reports are also very impressive! more
