Really good subs 8/4/2008

I love this place and their menu is one of a kind I never seen one like it before. This place rocks especially if you have the munchies. I have been here a few times I get the usual (pinner) Midwest?s Best also known as the club, and a rice krispy treat to top it off, if you like rice krispy treats be sure to grab one if you see it because they go fast. I should know I came here a couple of times and left w/out one; well it?s good to know I was not the only one who had the munchies that day. Pros: Best Subs more

More Cheba 6/13/2004

Having lived Back East, on the Left Coast, and in the Deep South, I have never tasted sandwiches soooooo tasty and well crafted as those at either of the Cheba Hut locations. For the uninitiated, Cheba Hut's sandwiches are named after different hybrid strains of Cannibis... pot. Not to worry, other than a hemp oil based cream cheese, nothing here is made with illegal ingredients. The feature wonderful salads and soup as well as the AWESOME toasted sub sandwiches. My favorites are many ranging from the Pakalolo (ham, pineapple, provolone) the East Coastern (the best pastrami I've ever tasted) and of course the Arizona Homegrown. Prices range from $3-$5.50 for everything here. The service is genuinely friendly and attentive. All ingredients are super fresh and the meats and cheeses are sliced fresh. Stoners and non-stoners alike will find something to cure any case of the munchies. Pros: Inexpensive, Two locations, Quality Ingredients Cons: , At times very busy more

Gift from heaven! 6/20/2002

I moved to Phoenix in March of 2001. I had just arrived and was starving, aimlessley I drove around Tempe and saw this big van with a huge J on top of it. I knew that was the place to eat. I ordered a Pakalolo and was in instant heaven as soon as I took a bite. From that day on I ordered a sandwich every week and had them deliver it to my husbands work so he could bring it home to me. Being new to a big city like Phoenix, and being pregnant during the summer was not my idea of a good time, but I always looked forward to my weekly treat from Cheba Hut. I don't live in Phoenix anymore but I always recommend Cheba Hut to anyone who visits there. Thanks so much for the food, you guys are great! Pros: great food, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere more
