Best

My 10 y.o. grandson and I took a one hour ride yesterday and had a fine experience. The staff were pleasant and careful to pick horses suitable to our experience level, beginners...

Worst

The manager "Bob" was a jerk. I had a Groupon and was told by Bob that the ride was at 9:30. When I got there he basically yelled at me because he said I should have been on the 9...

My daughter, husband and I had a wonderful experience earlier today. The staff, owner and horses were excellent and the ride was fantastic. We definitely are planning on going back for more rides. more

Had a great one-hour ride with my daughter and step-mother. The staff took care to match us with appropriate horses for our age, size, and skill level - they accommodated the 7 year old just as happily and safely as the 62 year old. They were engaging and helpful people who clearly took great care of their animals. For another trail ride in the Denver area, we would certainly use them again. more

I like the horses. Me and my horse got along well. The people that work there are nice. I want to go back to Chatfield Stables. more

We have used Chatfield Stables for several trail rides and for a child's horse camp. Every time has been a great experience. The staff is helpful and are very aware of proper and safe handling of horses. We will keep riding there. more

The owner of this stable is the most hideous, rude and unscrupulous man I have ever encountered. He fails to inform people who call that there is a $ 8 park fee that has to be paid. I arrived and had left my wallet at home and after paying the park fee had only $ 60. I gave this cash to an employee and she indicated that I could reschedule. I felt bad about the mishap.\r \r Upon calling to reschedule and speaking with the hideous man who answered the phone, he informed me that he would not refund my money nor would he allow me to reschedule. I was told that my $ 60 in cash was being kept for preparing the horses which equates to $ 30 per horse to put a saddle on it. Gee, maybe I should work there\r \r Not only is his demeanor rude, he misrepresents his stables and essentially stole my money. I ask anyone with a mind this: would you hand over $ 60 in cash as an apology for not having the rest of the money when could merely have walked away. I am a single mom and currently unemployed so his stealing my money does not sit well with me.\r \r He is a fraud and I have filed complaints with every agency that handles such consumer matters. \r \r I would not recommend this dump, along with the nasty owner, to anyone. Go to the stables on Parker Road in Aurora. It is a much better experience. \r \r You can read all the other reviews on here that pretty much say the same thing about this unethical individual and his lousy stable. more

Wonderful! We went on a 1 hour ride and the staff was very professional and matched the experience level of the person with the horse. My daughter had never been on a horse before and we had a great time. It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon! more

Terrible. Expensive, and you don't get what you paid for. Avoid more

My 10 y.o. grandson and I took a one 3/30/2012

My 10 y.o. grandson and I took a one hour ride yesterday and had a fine experience. The staff were pleasant and careful to pick horses suitable to our experience level, beginners. They were knowledgable and gave good individual instruction and supervision throughout the ride. The equipment was in good order, and the horses were appropriately responsive. The horses were well cared for and the staff treated them well. I have been to other rides where I felt sorry for the horses---not the case here. If anything, the horses could have been groomed better, but it is just spring and they still have their winter coats, so understandable. It was a really nice experience for my grandson's 1st ride. His comment: ""awesome!"" more
