We just had our wedding here last night (4/14/12). We honestly couldn't have asked for a better evening. The food was fantastic, the wait staff were so attentive, and the room that we were in was just beautiful. Our experience started off fantastic. Joyce was so helpful, and always made sure that all of our questions were answered, and that we were comfortable with everything. I can be quite sure that we were such pains in her rear, but she maintained her professionalism and courtesy better than anyone else would have. All of our guests have been calling and emailing to let us know what a lovely time they had, and how fantastic the food was. I would recommend this place to ANYBODY - as a matter of fact, I already have. Thank you to all of the staff who contributed to making everything go so smoothly! more

The food was awful, the service was worse and the management was rude. I would not recommend this place. more

This place is beautiful, and the food was good. I was surprised that even though our room was partitioned off from 2 other wedding receptions, there was no noise from the adjoining parties. The only problem that I had with this place was that none of the waitresses spoke English. One of the bridesmaids dropped a bottle of beer and we couldn't find anybody to clean up the broken glass. Guests walked through it for about 10 min. When we had a problem with one of our tables missing 2 place settings, I had to ask my niece?s boyfriend to translate for me. Again, NONE OF THE WAITRESSES SPOKE ENGLISH! We finally found a manager and the problem was resolved. more

Every time I think of my wedding reception I have a sinking feeling in my stomach. It was a disaster because of the way this place is managed. These people were so unprofessional and rude from the time you sign the contract to the day of your wedding. I ended up cutting my cake with a butter knife while the staff stood around and watched. I was told by one of my guests a staff member was also meticulously cleaning my envelope box. By the end of the night, my camera also mysteriously disappeared. These are just a select few of my problems at Chateau Del Mar. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to remember your wedding reception the way I remember mine. more
