Editorial review from Citysearch 5/9/2014

I have not had a bad experience with the staff thus far. I have had 2 appointments and I find the staff to be very nice. Dr. Chapman is all business but that does not make her rude like is indicated above. If you are looking for someone to hug you then perhaps this is not the right place but overall I would say they are pretty good. more

awful experience - beware! 1/23/2012

My wife waited 6 months for this appointment and Cathy spent 2 minutes with her. The staff was rude and would not take our FSA card (specifically for doctors visits) because they said I had to be there to sign it. Multiple offices over multiple years this has never been a problem. Told my wife they would cancel her appointment if she didn't provide another form of payment. She was upset so I drove across town to be there with her. They would not let me go back with her and were extremely rude. The office manager Lynn said if I didn't like it my wife could go somewhere else. We are going to do that! From the signs in the lobby "If you want to hear bells and whistles go to the casino- silence your phones!" and the multiple payment due now signs you can tell the doctor is not interested in the wellness of her patients. The decor is old and there was dust on everything. If one thing was decent I would withold this review but they absolutely went out of their way to make the visit more

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Chapman & her office 1/23/2012

As others who need an appointment with a Rheumatologists, you know how long it takes to be seen by one. I waited 6 months to be seen by Dr. Chapman only to have a very disappointing experience. The front desk staff was very rude and confrontational. Dr. Chapman spent under 5 minutes with me only to ask me questions while typing away on a computer then proceeded to hand me a printout of what she ""thought"" might be the issue causing my pain and prescribed me medicine. How do you prescribe a patient medicine after only spending a few minutes with them? Particularly, when this patient has experienced Chronic pain for several years. Dr. Chapman may have looked me in the eye once. As a person who has suffered pain and discomfort for many years, my suggestion would be not to be seen by this doctor. Pain is a matter that needs compassion and attention. I felt as though I was wasting her time and am now left to still be uncomfortable with pain. I was very discouraged and disappointed with this Dr. and her staff. more

Awful experience- the doctor is NOT in 1/23/2012

I really feel hurt and upset that my wife cried when she got to her car. I am stunned... Pros: null Cons: null more

Find another Doctor! 9/7/2010

Different front desk staff every time I come in. All are trained in how to be rude. (I've had receptionists speak for the doctor - actually lecture me on medications!) more

avoid this office 10/29/2008

the office staff is very rude. i am new to the memphis area and on my first visit i got lost and they were not helpful in helping me get there. also, Dr. Woobury came in and typed away on the computer and didn't take the time to hear what I wanted to say. He speaks too fast and doesn't ask if I have any questions. You always have to wait at least an hour before they take you back and even then it takes a while for the doctor to come by. The office manager hung up the phone on me b/c she was "busy and has work to do." Pros: none more

Lousy 5/19/2008

I was a patient here of Dr Woodbury's until recently. He seems well educated, but he speaks too fast and is hard to understand which I guess is why he gives patients a stack of paper to explaining what to do and what they have. I was tired of waiting a minimum of 4 hours every time I had an appointment. It would have been longer but people who were in front of me would leave because they had been waiting too long. The staff is also very rude and incompetent. Cons: Horrible waiting room time, shady staff more

I would not make an attempt to see these doctors. 3/24/2008

After waiting 10 days for my lab tests, my PCP determined that I had lupus. After continual attempts to see the referral that my doctor gave me, I was told that I would have to wait another month before I could see Dr. Chapman. (Being that I am a new patient.) My conditions are worsening and I am now trying to find help on my own. I don't care if I have to go back to Texas to see a Doctor. This is ridiculous. It seems that I would have to have a heart attack or stroke before this doctor took my condition seriously. I would not even make the attempt. Pros: None more

No Bed Side Manners and No Concerns 2/8/2008

Where do you go when in 2 minutes you have the same problem with no help! more

Rheumatology processing 10/17/2006

I felt like I was being processed without concern for my problems. I even felt like I was being patronized. After one visit, I switched MDs. Pros: No pros considering other places you can go in memphis Cons: Inconsiderate and patronizing more
