Dear Dr. Moore,

Lost Medical Records | Closed Facility 5/14/2012

Folks, this facility is closed. The neighboring offices said that the doctor disappeared, the facility is shut down, the records are gone, and the doctor is in a heap of trouble. If you went to this shady place, call an attorney or the NC Secretary of State to help other patients like me get an investigation going to find this doctor, find our records, and inform the public. more

NOT GOOD!!! 1/13/2011

This is the first time I have ever written a review for ANYTHING. I felt compelled to do so due to my experience with this facility. I was in the area and needed to see a Dr. I waited for approximately 45 minutes before I was called back. I waited another hour before being seen by the Dr. After explaining my symptoms and telling the Dr. my ""self-diagnosis"", he went in his office and apparently looked up ""my diagnosis"" on the computer (I could see him from my rm) and prescribed medications (5 prescriptions) and care without even examining me! I had to request an examination, which took another 30 minutes to be completed. Overall, I was in this office approximately 3 hrs. I was told I would be contacted with lab results - no one called me. I called the office on three different occasions and left messages on voice mail and no one has called me back yet!!!!!! more

Horrible care, deceptive billing 2/27/2009

While the nursing and office staff at this clinic were very pleasant, I found the physician to be incompetant. I basically told her my diagnosis and she prescribed antibiotics when they were clearly not indicated (I needed steroids, which I ultimately was able to get from my primary care doctor). I found myself wondering if this physician really had a license to practice medicine in the United States. In addition to her lack of knowledge, she was extremely unprofessional. There are many hidden charges, including a ""special hours"" charge. Unnecessary tests were ordered, which ended up costing me. Overall, I would advise you to STAY AWAY from Chapel Hill urgent care. I would never allow anyone I care about to go to this horrendous clinic. Pros: short wait time Cons: unprofessional physician, hidden charges, overall poor medical care more

Highly Recommended! 12/16/2008

I recommend this office highly! The staff were so very considerate and upbeat. The doctor I saw when I was there was very detailed. This office provided the care I really needed and I only had to pay my urgent care copay. I am so glad I didn't have to make a trip to the ER. Pros: Clean Office, Very Friendly Staff, Convenient Pay/Billing, Detailed Dr., No Appointment Cons: Little Wait more

Deceptive billing, you will be nickel and dimed with additional fees 11/14/2008

I visited this clinic in September 2008. I called earlier in the day and inquired about appointments, to which they replied they didn't take them and to just come whenever during their operating hours. Since I am new to the area and didn't have sick time built up, I chose to go right after work. When I left I was charged the $20 copay, and I thought I was done. Then I received my Explanation of Benefits from my insurance company, and I was appalled to see I had been charged for additional items. Not only was my office visit (no lab work) $210, I was also charged $50 as an urgent care fee and $50 as a special hours visit (I assume because it was after 5). I was explained that the $210 was because I am a new patient. Never in my history of visiting an urgent care have I been assessed such fees. From my experiences, a doctor visit has cost $80. I would have come during work hours had I been told on the phone that coming later would result in additional fees. I would recommend going elsewhere if at all possible. Pros: Clean, friendly staff Cons: Don't explain that coming at certain times will result in additional fees more

Great Clinic! 9/23/2008

I had a great experience at Chapel Hill Urgent Care. It was quick and clean. Everyone was so nice. I was able to get care with out an appointment and all that I had to pay was my copay. I really appreciate them being there. more

Deceptive billing practices 6/11/2008

Watch out for deceptive billing practices. Chapel Hill Urgent Care sent out a second bill in May for an appointment that was fully paid for in January. When I called my insurance company to alert them to the double-billing, they said they had received numerous complaints about billing problems from Chapel Hill Urgent Care patients. Keep all your payment receipts and watch out for phantom charges on your bill! more
