I stopped going here because one person would wash my hair, the hair sytlist I was paying would cut it and often a 3rd person would blow it dry and style it. A few times the stylist left even before my hair had been finished being blown out by one of the assistants. \r Pros: Interesting decor Cons: Mulitple people styled my hair more

I've been a client of Dave's for 18 years. With haircuts & color every 4-5 weeks, I have never once been disappointed. What I like: Dave ALWAYS asks if I want the same cut, color, anything different, how is the style working for me, etc. He makes suggestions based on knowing me as a person, and my lifestyle - not just ""blow and go"". I used to have my hair done by a ""noteable stylist"" and could never get the same cut twice! With Dave, he is consistently on target and I depend on that reliability. He goes out of his way to make sure his expertise is exactly what is suitable for me. He listens and follows up. I am always warmly greeted and walked to the reception desk. My appointments are always confirmed and I am treated professionally with excellent service. I intent to be a client for a long time and would recommend this salon. more

Ive been going to this salon since I was 14. I was referred by my two aunts, and have not found any other salon that ive liked as much as this one. Pros: great atmosphere Cons: it might be a little to edgy for people more

In response to the last review i feel the need to defend my side ..... First , im really sorry that you didn't like the hair cut . I Pride myself in the fact that i take the time for a complete consultation ..... listening closely to your needs for your hair . I do the same for each and every client that i work on , i've been doing that for 20 years . Second , I take pride in my education and passion for the business . I take my job very serious and try to do the best work with the hair that's in front of me . As for the salon being shabby or un kept ... i'll again as i always do look deeper into that . At Champions we have a progressive edgy style and we update our salon interior often , the last thing we ever want is to look shabby and outdated . Again my goal as a stylist is to make each and every client in my chair look there very best . Sorry this cut didn't quite work for you . more

I'm originally from NY and I when looking for a salon, I decided to try out Dave at Champion based on the reviews I read online. What a bunch of crock. Dave absolutely does not know what he is doing. First gave me a bad haircut, didn't listen to anything I said, but he seems very nice and had offered that if I didn't like it once I washed it myself I could come back for a touch up. So I did just that, what a mistake on my part!!! He totally buchered my hair. I don't think I've ever had a more unflattering haircut for my face. I wanted the long in front and short in back that's in fashion now, and instead he gave me a little mushroom cut!!! This haircut makes me look like a boy. I could have done a better job cutting it myself at home (which I've done previously) and saved myself the $100 I ended up spending with tips. My advice is stay away from Dave. He seems to have a real nice personality but truly does not know what he is doing!!!! Pros: Cake and coffee is available if that's your cup of tea! im a new client at the salon. right when i walked in i felt so comfortable. i loved the atmosphere and all the employees were so nice. they all have a great sense of style so i felt comfortable to leave my hair in their hands. my stylist did exactly what i wanted, she sat me down and we talked very thoroughly about what i expected. i never felt rushed or unimportant. She made me feel comfortable, relaxed and not to mention the best shampoo ever. I could've fallen asleep right in the bowl! \r \r you can definitely expect to see me in there again. Its so hard to find stylists these days that are are extremely talented and well trianed, and not to mention actually listen to what i want and need in a color/cut. The prices of the services are very good, not necassarily cheap... but hey you get what you pay for.... great hair and great service!\r \r i love this salon! Pros: firendly, talented, upbeat employees. Cons: hmm... not sure yet more

Brandi would have to be my favorite hairstylist. Not only does she pay attention to small details regarding my hair but my personal life too. Everytime I go in, I don't feel like just another head of hair to cut. Her always upbeat, positive outlook, and beautiful smile always brings me back. Pros: fun, upbeat, staff. great atmosphere. Leela had been recommended to me from a friend since I had just moved and needed my color touched up. When I walked in I saw a cute salon, friendly faces and fabulous coffee. Leela and her assistant Sarah were professional, friendly and talented. I spent an hour less at the salon than I would have at my former salon! My husband commented that my hair has never looked better!! I would leave my former salon with wet hair for the same price as having ""the works"" done here!!! Cheaper, less time AND looks better!!! I have found the best kept secret in OC and have already passed this info a long to a friend of mine. Thank you Leela!!! I disagree with the first reviewer, who commented about the owner. I have been going to this salon for years, and I almost always ask specifically for Dave. He is energetic and friendly, and my hair always looks great when I leave. I got my hair cut and colored three months ago, and although my hair grows quickly, I haven't had to go back until now.\r \r Champions is relatively expensive, as I said before. It's kind of funny for a little place tucked next to a feed store and a deli, but they do good work, and everyone is upbeat. Pros: Knowledgeable staff, fun atmosphere, great haircuts Cons: Pricey, can be difficult to get a quick appointment more

SO-SO for a supposedly over the top hairdresser who does ""shows"" or platform work. His overpriced haircut and standard highlights were not worth the money! Don't waste your hard earned $ on his ""ownership"" of the salon along with his attitude toward his staff/assistants. Just stick with someone who is stylish and funky like Ashley/Bianca!
