I took Century Cab last night and waited about 20 minutes for them to pick me up and then the driver I got was very polite the person who answered the phone was very polite I was greatly satisfied I will you Century Cab again more

They're just AWFUL. Smelly, bumpy ride with a rude driver (car #2 or #3, I think) who drove erratically and circuitously. I called to complain and got the brushoff. What a bad representative of Cedar Rapids! Horrible. more

I just sat outside of oyamas sushi & grill for a total of an hour!!! I was freezing as I sat outside with my friend wondering where the cab I had called was. I called century cab, to talk to the rudest lady ever, who proceeded to tell me that the cab that was coming to get us had gotten a FLAT TIRE, by this point I was very unhappy and freezing. I asked her if she thought it would've been a good idea to inform us of the cab driver getting a flat which she then responded with ""it's not my problem, I'm the dispatcher"" I asked if I could get a discount or something, her response was ""we don't do discounts"", very very horrible customer service, horrible experience, an how much did we get off, 50 ¢, I would not reccomend this cab company to my worst enemy!!! more

Century Cab in Cedar Rapids totally sucks! I cannot believe how uncomfortable I felt riding with one of their guys. The car smelled bad and was bumpy for one thing. For another, holy crap -- the price! It cost me more to go from the airport to downtown C.R. than it would to go from O'Hare to the Chicago Loop. I kid you not! They act like they're doing you a big favor by getting you there in one piece but forget that they're not the only game in town. I'm tired of being treated this way! Never again. more

I give up on Century! Very bad experience 8/5/2011

I did not treat me well from beginning to end the last time I used them. I am not as young as I used to be; otherwise, I would have jumped out and walked rather than ride with this reckless driver. Texting on the phone, almost running up the curb, getting honked at (appropriately, mind you) more than once. I am going with another ride from now on, thank you very much. more

Treated my elderly mother shabbily 5/9/2011

all ic an say is century cab sucks. they treated my mom poorly the other day when she had no choice but take a taxi to the doctor. she said the driver went way too fast and wouldn't slow down when asked. what gets me is that she was struggling to get out of the car and the guy wouldn't do a thing to help her. someone who happened to be parked nearby came around and helped her to the door. It hurt me to hear about that. more

Bad experience 5/8/2011

Very disappointing. Foul-smelling car, uncomfortable ride. Most of all, scared by the driver texting through the whole trip. Very dangerous and unprofessional service. more

Unfriendly service, low-quality cars, outrageous price 4/30/2011

I wish I could say some good things about Century, but car number 3, you make me a little nervous when you swerve around like that on the interstate. I needed a lift to the airport, and next time I'm in that position, I think I'll just offer a buddy $30 -- because that's what it would cost me otherwise! more

Large, roomy and clean 1/20/2011

Some of the cabs are a little older but every one I've been in has always been roomy and clean with plenty of trunk space in case I had a bunch of luggage or groceries. I've been in too many other cabs that are smaller and maybe more fuel effecient but don't hold all my stuff, which is a big problem. more

DONT CALL CENTURY 11/29/2010

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IF YOU HAVE BEEN OUT DRINKING!!! I called them for a ride for just myself. When I got in and was talking to the driver and cursed. He told me there was no cursing allowed in his cab. It was 1:30 in the morning after a long night of drinking so naturally I said 'are you f@#%ing kidding me?' Not only did he kick me out, HE CALLED THE COPS!!! Unbelievable. I will NEVER call them again. EVER. Yellow cab came and got me and let me say whatever I wanted. 319-365-1444 more

Poor service for the money -- and believe me, it's a lot of money for someone in my position. I'm going to go with someone else or find another way to get around. more

Costs too much for me 11/18/2010

I am on a fixed income and simply cannot afford to have Century taking me for a ride anymore. I'm going to check out the LIFTS bus, city bus, Aging Services, friends and neighbors. But come on. Who can afford a $40 taxi fare to buy $20 of groceries? more

Very disappointed with service.They don't show courtesy like some others do in C.R. And I don't see how they get away with driving me all over and charging so much. I will find other ways to get around town. Other taxis, even, but certainly not Century. No more! more

Hey, do you know it costs more -- significantly more, in fact -- to take a taxi from the airport to the edge of Cedar Rapids/Marion than it does to take a taxi from O'Hare in Chicago in moderate traffic? That's a fact. Now it might have something to do with supply and demand ... but a recent experience led me to drop any demand I'll have for them ever again. more

Costs more than Chicago! 8/15/2010

They lead the way in overcharging customers. In fact, this taxi service will charge you more for a trip from the Eastern Iowa Airport to the edge of Marion (less than 20 miles) than you would be charged going from Chicago O'Hare to the loop in moderately heavy traffic. \r Why is that? Well, it's the inverse of supply and demand, in part. Lower demand -- and an abundance of taxi drivers sitting around doing nothing -- means they need to charge people more for doing less during their shifts.\r For the captive audience that taxis rely on in Cedar Rapids (not the drunks, but the elderly, handicapped, etc.), please look into getting help from the LIFTS bus, from Aging Services, from your friends and family. Save yourselves from paying these exorbitant rates!!! more

Taxicabs 7/12/2005

Usually faster than normal service and the only taxi service in town that offers a vehicle that is wheelchair accessible. Drivers for the most part are friendly helpful. more
