The staff at the hospital are so caring.I took my 6 year old Golden Retiever to Dr. sherrill for a second opinion. The results were very devasting to me.Gibson had leukemia. He was a very sick boy.I did not want him to suffer and had to put him to sleep. It was so very hard but the staff was amazing to me and also with Gibby.I am so great full to them.Thank you Dr.Sherrill and staff. Also thank for Gibbys paw print.Martha Burrell more

These people are fantastic! Our dog was in terrible shape and loosing strength quickly and we needed help asap. The staff at the Central Valley Hospital did a great job of diagnosing and treating her, and she's happily on her way to recovery! Not just did they do a great job of working out what was wrong, but they did it with compassion and patience. Great people! more

You will not do better than Central Valley Animal Hospital. The staff is friendly and caring with each of our seven furbabies we have placed into their care. We had an emergency five years ago, when our West Highland Terrier ate some tainted treats which killed animal all around the glove. Their doctor on call met us in the middle of the night for two nights in a row. This was not available in the other clinics before we found Central Valley Animal Hospital. I highly recommend this facility, which we have entrusted all of our furbabies into their care. Pros: null Cons: null more

Top Notch, Excellence--Bar None, The Best! 8/22/2011

I have a Sheltie that had benign tumors growing in his eyelids, causing him discomfort. I inqired as to what would be required to remedy the situation and I was given a price, and they stuck to that price. Additionally, Dennis Dugger, the specialist for eye surgery there, came out front and explained the entire procedure and what would be expected of me after the surgery. The explanation was given in terms that a layman could understand--he was NOT condescending and did not try talking 'over your head' in medical terminology. He was thorough in the explanation, including the suturing methods and suture materials used, as well as the care of the eyes and sutures during the healing process. more

Procedures done without authorization! 3/24/2011

I took our dog in to be neutered, I had discussed the price of the procedure, even signed a form stating what was going to be done and how much. When I picked my animal up they had done another procedure without my consent and charged me for it. I talked to the multiple people at the office and finally talked to one of the Vets. It was made clear to me that this was not a high ticket item so they didn't feel that it was a big deal to call me. The sad part is I would have gone along with the procedure; all I was looking for was a heads up and common courtesy. I did ask for my money back for the procedure, they said they would send out a refund and I still have not seen it two months later. more

Only take your pet if you want to be overcharged! 2/17/2010

When we picked up our cat from Central Valley Animal Hospital, we were told they charged us 35% more because they changed our cats bandages 4 times. Instead of our bill being $192.00 it was $259.00. We never received a call to inform us of this situation. We will never take our cat to this vet again. Pros: Kept our cat overnight to observe. Cons: Overcharged without notification. more
