Very Satisfied 3 years ago. I took in the worst of all transmissions... Ford E40D for a 3/4 ton truck I was beafing up to make a repo truck out of. Rob had his shop beaf it up with all the extras and maxed it out with the best parts available. The day I got it from Central Transmission, at a very reasonable price, half of what the other shops wanted without the upgrades... I drove the truck from Auburn to San Diego California towing an 18 ft boat. Made it there and back without a problem. I am still driving it and very satisfied 3 years later. I now have another one of my trucks in their shop, they are very busy so I allow for the time needed to complete the current repairs. I will let you all know how it turns out with my next Rating.... more

I came here for a second opinion and Im glad I did. This shop was to charge half the price of the other place. I was glad because I happened to find an honest mechanic that was straightforward here. They did a great job! more

There were a couple places I got estimates from, most of them telling me I should buy a new transmission. I was not going to do that because I didnt think the problem could be that serious. Central Transmission had a great price and the person I dealt with was a pleasure to deal with. I was extremely happy with the services provided. more

We knew our transmission was going out and would soon need to be replaced. When that happened we just dropped it off and picked it up a few days later. They did a great, fast job on the trans and got it back sooner than we had originally thought. more

They were nice over the phone and gave us a quote for the rebuild. that price was the same when wee arrived there to drop of the car and the same when we picked it up. We were glad to find an upfront, honest mechanic. The car is running good with no problems so I can vouch for their work as well. more

Central took great care of my car and had a whole new transmission in the car in 3 days! I was amazed and very pleased to have my car back so soon. It works great now and you couldnt tell there was ever a problem. more

shifts great now 1/23/2012

They did a great job and I was very impressed. The car shifts like it used to and can chirp the tires a little if you give it the gas. Really tight firm shifts! It feels great and I cant believe how great it is! more

I took my Saturn Sky here for a new clutch because the place was so close to my house. They turned out to do very good work and at a price much less than the dealer was going to be. The location made it a no brainer but I was glad to see they were really a great shop. more

This shop is very experienced with all the funny noises a transmission can make. They figured out my issue in no time at all and didnt charge me an arm and a leg to get me back on the road. more

I bring my car here because I know these guys are problem solvers! If there is a problem with the car, bring it here and its solved. That has been my solution for quite a while now and has never failed me. more

Honest Service 9/13/2011

My bother insisted that I take my car to Central when I was having transmission problems. He knew that I have no knowledge about the mechanics of cars and so he said that I could trust that Central would be honest and fair to me. Long story short, they were indeed honest and did a great job at replacing the auto. transmission in my car. I did have a little trouble about a week after the work was done, but they took me in right away and had the problem resolved within an hour. Ever since then. my car has been doing great! more

My Impala is an old LT1 cop car and I wanted to freshen up the transmission with a flush and shift kit. Central had the perfect kit in mind and ordered it for me. The car shifts great now and I love it. Its exactly what I was looking for. more

saved my car! 8/9/2011

This shop saved my car! I thought it was a gonner but central had a solution that was cheaper than replacing the car. The rebuilt trans would have been $500 more than the car cost me to begin with. Central found a small problem and I was on my way for under $200. more
