Wonderful Place to Worship the Lord! 3/10/2010

Central Christian Church is a wonderful church to be part of the Family of God.\r \r The church is multi-ethnic and diverse church, open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.\r \r The mission of the church shall be to bring together followers of Jesus Christ for the purpose of sharing in the worship of God and in making His will dominant in the lives of men and women, individually and collectively, especially as that will is set forth in the life, teaching, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.\r \r The vision of the church is to establish Central Christian Church as a spiritual center for the city of Hilo; to provide an open door and an extended hand of help to every person that wants it; to preach the gospel to the unsaved; to teach the saints of God and bring them to spiritual maturity; and to provide practical assistance to all who need it.\r \r Sunday Service begins at 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.\r \r Bible Studies:\r \r Tuesday: 6:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Recorded for Public Television\r \r Thursday: 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. \r \r Please come join us! Pros: Christian Teaching on ""Who You Are In Christ!"" Cons: Must Be Willing to Committ & Trust God more

Pastoral attitude leaves lot to be desired!! 11/25/2009

I called this pastor for help, as I was having difficulty with my marriage. I had attended his church for the first time in 2007, when I briefly visited Hilo, and my then fiancee, who lives there.\r I am from Canada.\r I was told by my fiancee at the time(now my husband... unfortunately)that after I had returned to Canada, this same ""Pastor"" Robert Daly, had made some very negative and derogatory remarks about me, and advised my fiancee to NOT marry me.\r Since its been a while, I dont remember specifically what was said, just that it was very negative.\r My fiancee actually also felt that this 'pastor' was quite possibly a bigot as well.As my husband is African American.. \r so he consequently stopped attending the church.\r However, as my fiancee, (now my husband ), recently attended this church again, as he was looking for a new church,.. I imagined, that I would let bygones be bygones. So when I started having problems with this marriage,(its long distance at present) I called the same pastor.....Robert Daley.\r He listened to me,and tried to help, however, on one occassion, while speaking to me by telephone, here in Canada( I called him)he got very angry and agitated when I questioned him on why he would not speak to my husband about his adultery..\r He told me that he was not going to challenge my husband, and so I advised him that he was a luke warm christian, as the Bible, also speaks about luke warm christianity. This is a pastor, who has been told that this man was committing adultery, and he felt he could not 'challenge' him???!!!\r I believe adultery is one of the 10 commandments, given to us by the Lord?\r I am very outspoken, and when I questioned him about why he would not address it, he grew impatient with me. I happened to raise my voice as I was very frustrated with the situation, and this man of God, started shouting at me,telling me not to shout at him, and then advised me that the conversation was over... and abruptly hung up the phone in my ear!!!!\r I called back, and the church secretary told me that he hung up as I had raised my voice to him!\r and that it was disrespectful... I did advise her that we were not living in the dark ages, and that women do raise their voices at times!!!\r I then thanked her for her time and hung up.\r I later found out that my so called husband was actually sitting in front of Robert Daley at the time he hung up the phone in my ear!\r What a clown! obviously no respect or caring for either me or my husband!!\r I believe that my husband should have left right then, as if Robert Daley is unable to contain HIS anger and manner, then he most assuredly CANNOT help anyone else, with their problems!!\r \r I'm assuming, he is not a very good conversationalist, and not too articulate, so the only option he had , I suppose was to hang up the phone in my ear!!\r What a huge disappointment !\r From what I have seen of the few pastors in hilo, hawaii, they dont seem too genuine.. I guess one has to find a way to survive in ""paradise' , and find a way of earning an income... so the best place to start would be to pretend you are something you are not!!\r VERY SAD, HOWEVER, THIS IS VERY SURELY ANOTHER SIGN OF THE END TIMES.... MANY WOLVES LURKING IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING!!!\r \r GOD BLESS ROBERT DALEY! Pros: Pastor there seemed to listen, keyword'SEEMED"" Cons: HORRIBLE ATTITUDE FOR A PASTOR ! more
