Central Bark Fort Lauderdale

I have 2- 2 year old Rottweilers, who see Miguel (the groomer) every 6 weeks or so for a groom. I always get excellent service from Miguel as well as the Central Bark Staff, not to mention my dogs love him. Miguel has been the only groomer that I have used, the service is excellent so there is no need for me to go elsewhere. Miguel is contantly booked so if you like to do walk-ins you should do it early in the week. I usually bring my dogs on saturday and it is always busy. more

The staff at CB always takes great care of our dogs-; they are thrilled to go and play all day. These folks truly love animals. Miguel has been our groomer for the last 6 years and does a wonderful job sfor all 3 dogs- he has a ton of patience and care for our 3 ""kids"". I would highly recommend his services as well! more

Central Bark Doggy Daycare is a great place. The staff go through several levels of training in how to safely handle groups of dogs. They also have to go through obedience training so they can reinforce good behavior in dogs. The staff is very dog savvy and familiar with all dog behaviors. I also like that they allow pitbulls as many kennels and daycares dont. The midday nap time is great, gives the dogs a chance to unwind, have a snack and helps with overstimulation in a group setting. They host many dog events and help different organizations. Windows are installed in the doors leading to the play yards which makes for interesting viewing. The retail area is well stocked with great brands of dog food, their groomer Miquel is kind and gentle with the grooming dogs. Ive loved Central Bark since they were in their old building! They are staffed 24/7 to keep an eye on the boarders and this staffing method has saved dogs lives as larger breeds can suffer sudden onset of bloat which require immediate surgical medical attention. more

Miguel, the groomer at Central Bark Doggy Day Care, has been taking care of my Shephard-Ridgeback female pet pup for 3 years now. We visit Miguel every month because her nails grow fast, long and hard. She has no fear when we go because Miguel has always handled her with tender, loving care. She hops right up on the table and he grinds her nails, rather than cut with a trimmer (It's very quick; and NO ragged edges or scary noisy clipping). He finishes by giving her a dog biscuit and she gives him kisses. And, I should mention that he is very accomodating--even if I don't have an appointment; I can usually call ahead and he fits us right into his schedule. And, now that I have a second pup, he too will go to Oakland Bark. Thanks, Miguel. See you next month. more

AWFUL.....AWFUL..... SERVICE........ LEAVE MY DOG YORKIE at an early hour in the morning for grooming AFTER 6 HOURS AS IF I WAS NOT YET READY TO PICK OUT, AND NOBODY NOTICE ME TO MY PHONE When I arrived: MIGUEL roughly and unkindly ANSWER MY DOG WAS NOT READY YET. AFTER 35 MINUTES, THEN LEAVE A MESSAGE ON MY PHONE TO PICK OUT MY DOG????? GIVING ME MY DOG....... Disgusting Grooming WITH A HORRIBLE AND BLEEDING FINGER CUT BY A BAD ONE THIS WORK BY MAKING A FAST AND NO PROFESSIONALISM. AND THEN AT THE FRONT DESK OF THIS TERRIBLE PLACE people asked ME THAT IF I WANT TO LEAVE A TIP?? NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. more

My experience has been awesome at central bark. My dogs love it and the employees are attentive and knowledgeable about all of the products and services. Also, the work that they do on behaf of all the dogs and dog organizations in the community is admirable. I would recommend this doggy day care to anybody. Pros: loving and caring employees more

This establishment works without any care for the animals. Profit is more important than the wellbeing of the pets they are placed in charge of. Be especially careful of how they run their facility. Question the fact that you are not able to see ANYTHING that the dogs do; it's all hidden behind closed doors. Every other daycare I've been to has been in open view; I could walk in at any time and see what my dog was doing. My dog was seriously injured while here and the management and owner have done nothing but claim that their policy is ""not to pay medical bills"" instead of sincerely caring about what happened to my dog. Speak to people in the dog community (as I have) and you'll quickly come to realize that many people have had bad experiences with this place. Stay away for the sake of your pet!! From day one, I had an awesome experience with Central Bark! The place seems clean and the dogs all look like they are happy to be there. after experiencing several doggie daycares in south florida i was shocked by the treatment at central bark....these folks are not professional, not concerned, and blame animals for their own shortcomings. Cons: absolutely not into animals....into money more

Central Bark has great facilities with indoor and outdoor yards for daycare in all weather conditions! The staff are wonderful! I feel comfortable leaving my precious pup at daycare with Central Bark and I know she has a great time! Pros: Safe, clean, odor free, great staff Cons: No sign on the building. Hard to miss, though - big purple & yellow facade. more
