There is only one nurse I like. Regretfully I can't remember her name. I came in to see dr makam and brought a list of questions and concerns for him regarding my health. He cracked several jokes about me having a list which annoyed me instantly. Then when I asked him a specific question about a procedure he suggested, he seemed genuinely irritated with me, looked down at his computer for a few moments, and then popped his head back towards me with a kind of gritted teeth response, ""do you want the medical terminology?"" I felt uncomfortable but my husband told me to get over it and that the dr was just teying to be funny. During the endoscopy my experience went well but my follow up appointment proved very disappointing. Two nurses told me I had a condition the dr would be addressing and Dr makam tried to send me out the door before telling me about it. I had to say ""but what about the condition the nurses told me about."" he had to go back inti his computer to look it up and THEN didn't treat me for the condition. The nurses were shocked. I don't know what to think about that. Worse, I told him I couldn't afford the new meds he prescribed and asked I'd they came in generic. He told me they did not. I researched online and found out there is a generic. I also found out this medication is supposed to interfere with one of my daily medications and he did not address any of that with me. The absolute worst part was when I asked him a question regarding a possible reaction, he told me "" you are a very difficult woman"" Well buddy, I may be difficult but that's not for you to say. You are supposed to be respectful, professional. It's nice that dr makam knows how to be gentle with the eldery man Cary Mary speaks of but I don't trust this guy. I will not be seeing him again and I've told my family to see some one else too. The only thing good is he gave me a giant box of samples which I appreciate but not worth feeling mistreated.
