For the money, the studio I have is very spacious with a walk through closet and a little dining/kitchen nook separate from the living area. But the floors and ceilings are EXTREMELY thin, with no concrete between them. I can hear my neighbor below me laugh. I can hear both the doors above and below me slam shut, loudly enough to wake me up. And god help you if your upstairs neighbor doesn't have carpet. There is supposed to be 80% covering with rugs or carpet, but the noise is still a nuisance. I'm out of here as soon as my lease is up to find a place where it doesn't sound like the person above me weighs 500 pounds. more

A good place if you can rent! 3/25/2006

The Cavendish is set way up on the hill of Arlington Ridge road, with a great view of the Washington monument and is a short walk down the hill to the Pentagon City mall and Metro. The condos are not new, though they are clean and well maintained. The kitchens and bathrooms are small, but the price is very good, especially if you are able to find someone willing to rent their condo. The tenants are typically pretty nice because they are mostly condo owners, not renters! They have a good sized outdoor pool, free parking for one car and easy street parking for additional cars and decent office staff. more
