Best Cat Vet EVER 11/9/2013

The best cat vet I've ever met. My 19 year old cat, 13 year old cat and 3 year foundling cat have the best medical care. Dr. Michael stays up-to-the minute on all feline issues. Her staff, especially Sabine, the practice manager, will answer questions over the phone whenever possible. I wouldn't switch to another vet for any reason, and the fact that they ONLY have cat care, no dogs to upset my fur babies, is a real comfort to the entire family. Is the care pricey? Probably. But you get the best. more

I went in for a check-up on my 16 yr old cat. I knew going in that there was a possibility she would need full senior bloodwork. After Dr. Ogden examined my cat, she told me that considering her excellent health, I shouldn't waste my money on bloodwork yet. It certainly isn't cheap, but I would do what's necessary for my cat, and it feels good to know these people are not just after your wallet. more

Overly expensive for awful service 12/6/2010

Took our elderly cat in to CCOV as he was ill and failing. They talked us out of euthanizing him, pressed us to purchase nearly $1000 worth of medication and sent him home. The same evening he died at home, which was painful for both him and us. The next morning when I contacted them, they would neither take the medication that we hadn't even had the opportunity to open back, but wanted to charge us another $100 just to dispose of the body. Needless to say we went elsewhere. Friday we received a postcard offering us 'up to three radiographs' for our dead cat if we would refer them to our friends. Not only is CCOV more expensive (for no apparent reason) than it's competitors in the area, but they apparently also don't keep any sort of updated records when an animal in their care dies. Our interaction with this business was painful, expensive and ridiculous in nearly every way. more

She cares more about your wallet than your pet \r I took my cat here since 7/2009. Dr. Michael could not diagnose what was wrong with my cat for over this entire length of time. After an expensive ?second opinion?, I found out he has IBD. I have spent over $7K at her facility. She has made me feel belittled, humiliated and she has lied to me on several occasions. If you value the health and safety of your pet, do not take him/her to this vet. Her staff is very nice, but she can be very nasty. Watch out! more

Thankful for the referral 5/11/2009

A friend referred me to Cat Care of Vinings. I felt I needed a 2nd opinion on a course of treatment for my cat. The office is not exactly conveniently located for me but I feel it was worth the trip.I feel because Dr. Mike sees only cats that she's more knowledgeable about treatment options for cats. The techs handled my cat well and patiently answered my questions. The clinic was quiet. I'm used to going in and hearing barking dogs.I feel going here was the best thing for my cat and me. more

A first class vet 4/24/2009

Dr. Mike has created a clinic specifically for cats. From the fish tank in the lobby to the window seats in the exam rooms it is designed to make your cat as comfortable as they can be given they are at the vet.\r \r Dr Mike will take the time to explain things in as much detail as you need and answer all the questions you may have. I feel very confident in the level of care my girls are getting. more
