The best club around.. I drive from Milwaukie to go there! 4/11/2009

I joined this club to do the Biggest Loser program with Ken Coleman from season 3 of the biggest loser. I think this man is an amazing person with a big heart. He is so worth the money. I not only signed up myself for this gym but also my husband and my children too. My husband got 2 free vists with Ken not that he needed it then my kids each got 1 visit with Ken with part of our membership. He was amazing with all of them he worked on their goals and what they want to accomplish. So if you looking for a club that you can get alot for your $$$ and are tired of those GYMS that require long contracts and are chain owned.. This this would be the club for you.. They have 3 clubs total to chose from.. Pros: Friends, Family Owned, Alot for your $$$ Cons: Wish it was closer to where I live but Ken is worth it more

BEST athletic club out there! 2/12/2009

My husband and I joined Cascade after touring ALL the gyms in the area. We could feel the difference as soon as we walked in the doors. Their staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Members looked like real people, it wasn't intimidating. There are tons of activities and camps for our kids and we can all use the outdoor waterpark! I love the free group fitness classes. The kids love Cascade so we can go together as a family. It's certainly not the cheapest club, but it's comfortable, clean and everyone is SO nice. Overall, it's a good investment for our family. more

Too expensive and what for? 12/13/2008

All I want to do is work out on the cardio machines and weights and they are charging 59.00 a month starting January 1. Their machines are newer and it has a comfortable atmosphere. I really don't care about the snack bar considering I go to work out and not to eat. The locker room isn't really that nice and the floor is always wet due to people coming back from the pool. I guess that if you like to play tennis and raquetball it is good for that but I really think that they are way too expensive. Also it is sometimes pretty stuffy in there. Pros: Good atmosphere Cons: Too expensive more

They have Ken Coleman from the Biggest Loser! 3/25/2008

Ken is an excellent trainer - ethusiastic & experienced with diet, exercise, and weight loss maintainance. He charges about $30-$40/hr. CAC has tons of exercise equip to choose from & keep adding new machines. They have pools, gyms, tennis, raquetball, hot tubs, & a great snack bar (try the banana, protein, yogurt shakes). CAC is more expensive than others I've been a member at (Bally, LA, 24, Naut etc), but you really get what you pay for! My health is worth it. It makes more sense to pay for a nice gym membership ($55/month) - where you actually feel confortable being sweaty at, than pay much more in later years in health bills. You could always work out on your own without a gym but will you - especially in the cold, rainy weather? CAC is quieter & cleaner than other clubs. LA's locker room is TINY! The trainers are horrid and UNPROFESSIONAL. They do have good weight equipment though. Pros: Ken Coleman, pool, snack bar, amt & variety of equipment, quiet, locker room Cons: expensive more

Think you're getting a nice family business?... 1/5/2008

We joined Cascade for two reasons, location to our home and the small business feel. When we moved we wanted to utilize their other clubs as they were much closer to our new home. Well, since we joined at the 205 location we could only use the little Gresham club, which has no pool, and if we wanted to use the other we had to pay an upgrade fee plus and extra $30 per month. Pros: Small business, family friendly Cons: Value, cleanliness, fees, corprate feel, love kids- but don't want to step over them when working out more
