One of my favorite places in the area. Delicious food. Right on A1A across from the beach. Live piano on weekends. The price is more than reasonable for the quality of food. more

Love this restaurant!! This is our favorite place for lunch when we come to Ft. Lauderdale. The food is amazing, service is top notch, and the location, couldn't be any better! We have been coming here for years, it's always consistant and never disappointing. A warm ocean breeze, plenty to look at walking by makes for a treat. Get a table outside. We have never eaten dinner here, but hear that is amazing as well. They have items on the menu that range from healthy to comfort food. It also has a great bar, half inside, half outside that usually has a great mix of locals as well as visitors. If we had to come up with one complaint, it would be the prices seem to be creeping up. Oh well maybe it's during the busy season, or just a sign of the times. Either way it can't deter us from coming to our favorite beachside cafe in sunny Ft. Lauderdale! more

I love this place - my favorite in the Fort Lauderdale area.\r \r Casablanca offers a solid variety on their menu with some great unique beverages as well. Every entree I've ordered would be ordered again. My favorites are the chicken spinach pesto sandwich and their onion soup. Every salad is great and I can't help but wonder what the food on the other tables will taste like. I am here in Fort Lauderdale for a few weeks and plan to eat at Casablanca just enough to try as much as possible - without falling out of love. Is this review over the top? Maybe a bit - but is an honest download of my thoughts on this place offering beach front seating for lunch and dinner. Perfect for small groups or small intimate lunch/supper. more

Want dinner here on a Saturday night? Arrive before sunset, or be prepared to wait: they don't accept reservations. That being said...waiting isn't a bad experience, as there is a good bar, & live entertainment. Our party had 5 seafood dishes (entrees and apps), and all were well prepared, nicely plated, and tasted great. Restaurant gets pretty crowded, so don't expect privacy. more

Romantic 15th Anniversary 8/18/2010

Great restaurant from the start, hostess asked our seating preference. We choose inside, although the view from outside was nice. Our waitress Kaela C from Rohde Island was very pleasant from the start. We order cocktails and appetizers, Escargot and Chowder. Both were recommended by Kaela (great choice). We then ordered our entrees, seared tuna and rack of lamb. Both were cooked as we requested (Perfect). The atmosphere is calming and not to loud. This restaurant is great for both special romantic occasions and a group of people. We will most definitely go to this restaurant again. We even stated that this could be a restaurant we frequent often. Enjoy, I know we did!!!! Kaela you were great, I hope all the servers there are just as good. Thanks for making our anniversary special. more

Great outdoor patio overlooking ocean - barely notice street traffic. Food also great, struggled to pick what to order so many things looked good. Service good. Highly recommend. more

Poor service 7/9/2010

Hamburger was great, salmon was suppose to have a rice and cucumber salad but it was a carrot salad. The server (tall black guy) didn't want to be there and should find another job. For the price there is better restaurants down the road. more

My husband and I came here with our friend and family (about 5 people) right after our small beach wedding ceremony. We had heard good things about this place, so that is why we chose it for our wedding dinner. The atmosphere is intriguiging, kind of reminiscent of old spanish/morroccan architecture, which has a romantic feel. The restaurant was extremely crowded and nosiy for 8:30 PM, but we were able to be seated quickly. The food is pricey, but well worth it. I ordered a fish dish (I can't remember the name), which was absolutely divine (the fish melted in my mouth!)! Everyone else at the table was very pleased with their food. This is one of those places where I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you order. Our waiter provided excellent service as well (I wish I could remember his name). more

I highly recommend the Casablanca Cafe. Went there Saturday May 22, 2010. Had a tabel on the balancony looking over the street and ocean. The service was great. Food was amazing. The scalops are a must. Also the mussels are worth the time. I will go back again. more

Nice spot to sit outside for lunch. Certainly a cut above the other beachside restaurants nearby and less expensive than Sea Watch. more

Still dreaming about the pesto garlic dip 5/3/2010

We arrived at Casablanca around 7:30PM on a Sunday night and it was busy. We heard the hostess telling a group in front of us that the wait was an hour but since we were just two, we were seated right away. We were seated upstairs. They were playing an acoustic music satellite radio station. Our waiter brought us bread with this pesto-garlic dipping sauce that I am still dreaming about, it was delicious. The rest of our food was good, but the pesto sauce was the most memorable part of the dinner. Recommended. Pros: Location, view, atmosphere, food Cons: Busy, outside can be windy more

Took my girlfriend there for her birthday. We stayed at the Marriot overnight and I thought this would be a good choice. We took the buggy ride there. It met my expectations and more! The place was packed, the ambiance was amazing. Fire place inside, decor was modern and the view was unbelievable. We sat outside on the balcony upstairs, overlooking the ocean. A warm, breezy summer night, you couldn't ask for anything more. The waitress was excellent, the food was amazing. We had the sea scallops and duck, both were great. Had a bottle of wine and a candle light dinner. Nice dessert selection. We will be back! more

We started with the Brie wrapped in phyllo with blueberry sauce and it was amazing.\r For the entrees, we had the Korean Duck and the Fettuccine with Pancetta and Chicken. We also added a side of the Crab Risotto. All were excellent but I think the duck was by far the best. I couldn't quite identify all the flavors but it seemed like Miso, Five Spice, and/or Hoisin sauce were likely involved. Yum!\r Unfortunately the weather is chilly tonight - around 45 - so we could not partake of the lovely outdoor patio, but our inside table next to the fireplace was facing the ocean anyway. more
