I called Carroll's Florist in Beverly, MA to put in a sympathy bouquet order for a co-worker and I was appalled at how rude the person I spoke with was. At first she told me to hold on because she was driving and seemed annoyed that I called her at an inconvenient time (9:45AM on a Monday). Then when I told her I needed a sympathy bouquet within a certain price range she repeatedly told me how low the price-range (around $40) was and that I was going to be getting an extremely small bouquet. I understood this, yet she continued to stress how small the bouquet would be and made me feel as though I was being cheap. Then she rudely asked what I wanted the card to say, and I told her ""Our deepest sympathy for your loss"" and she very rudely said ""HOLD ON! I HAVE TO WRITE THIS DOWN YOU KNOW"" at this point I was so shocked that I was speaking to someone in the service business and who would treat her customers this way, I interrupted and said that I did not want to continue with the order and I no longer needed her TERRIBLE services. She laughed and hung the phone up. -- Little does she know that my request was coming from a large and well known business on the north shore and we would have continued to use her services had it been a good experience. I wonder if she would laugh about that.... \r \r I called Gordon Florist in Ipswich, MA and dealt with a very pleasant person who took my order with ease and assured me that it was all taken care of. Piece of cake! more

Owner & Designer of the fresh & full floral coolers, with a noted historical eye for the arts, designing, color, creativity and customer service. \r It's an interesting concern to have a review done by a (trial new hirer) of just 2 days...sad that serious work issues, an unbalanced state of mind turned towards projection on Carroll's & myself, after a beautiful floral design was thrown at myself & designer of 6 years. Her action that day no doubt an off balanced impulsive quest to feel empowered. I later heard from a family member that ""her medication isn't helping, BUT!! really needs this job, she's has a hard time with her temper & emotions at other shops & jobs "". It's been without lack of effort to contact Citysearch about unfair & off the wall attacks on any business.. This review has no value. Call or visit us any day and you'll agree! A friendly family style shop!\r \r Thank you for your open mind & heart with these reviews. If you do feel a concern still...CALL, receive 20% off your floral design...OUR good faith gift for believing in more than meets the eye here...I wish her well and a positive recovery. \r \r Was advised to add my comments...since reviews still appear. more

Seemed as if she was just using up all the old flowers she had . I would not recommend this florist to anyone more

Terrible service...owner was not nice at all...would not recommend to anyone!!!!! I would prefer to go somewhere else the next time I need a floral arrangement!! more
