Dishonest, Overcharging 12/12/2011

I bought a power washer at Lowe's a little more than a year before I first took it in to this shop this past September. I made the mistake of allowing it to sit in the garage over the winter with fuel and the carb gummed up. All it needed was a good cleaning and it should have fired right up again. They charged me $65 just to drop it off, and then charged me in excess of $62 when I picked it up (almost $140), stating that they had cleaned it and replaced some parts (why would a washer this new need new parts already?). I paid because I needed the washer back. I cranked the machine when I got it home and it ran for about 5 minutes and I shut it down. The second time I cranked it in early December it was very hard to crank, but when it did crank, it ran long enough for me to wash 3 tires and then it simply died and refused to start again. I took the machine back and demanded that he fix it properly, including instructions that he not do anything for which I would be charged without his first calling me and confirming. About a week later, he called to say the machine was ready for pick-up. When I arrived to pick it up, he said I owed him ANOTHER $88 and that I had water in the carb! It wouldn't have been running with water in the carb so I know he is lying and is ripping me off plus, by the looks of other comments on this page, many other people. To top off his performance, when I attempted to pay, he refused all methods of payment except cash, despite the fact that he has a Telecheck sign on the door welcoming checks and Mastercard and Visa logos on the door indicating that he will take a debit card. Do not visit this shop! I agree that the rating system on this page should allow a ""less than 1 star"" rating...that's the only reason he's getting the star he's getting. I can't be more clear - do not patronize this cheat! more

dishonest, incompetent 9/20/2011

If the rating could be less than 1 star, they deserve it. I wish that I had read this site before going there. took my 1 yr old mower in when it would not start, after soaking the carb to clean it. Paid $84 and found out that all they did was to soak the carb again and it still does not run. They would not refund the $84 or even credit toward the next repair. They cannot be trusted. They are incompetent. I will never go there again. more

Never good 6/9/2009

I have lived in Fuquay my whole life. I have never heard anything good about this place. The only good this place does it if you are in need of parts ASAP. Their prices on parts are overpriced and customer service, ha...they have no idea what that is. For instance, I called in yesterday to simply get pricing, I had the part numbers, it would have taken less than a minute of his time. He told me that he was busy and to call back in an hour. I just so happened to be sitting down the road in eyesight. I pulled up, walked in, and he was sitting on his butt not doing a damn thing, no customers around. Every time you call in, or walk in, they treat you as if you are a burden to them and not someone who is paying their bills. Their whole business attitude is not good. stay away 4/28/2009

I took my generator in for repair. THey kept it for 3 MONTHS. Each week I called only to be told it would be a few more days. To top it off, when I was finally able to pick it up, I was charged for additional work that I did not want or authorize. All three individuals I spoke with treated me as an inconvience not a customer. When I asked for an itemized reciept they said they could not( or would not) find it. Horrible experience. Never again! Poor service experience 6/18/2008

I was very unhappy with the service I received recently from this location. My product's manufacturer referred me to this location for a warranty repair. When I called this location to inquire about taking my product in, the rep told me my problem probably wouldn't be covered under warranty. I tried to explain that technical support had told me my issue was covered under warranty but the rep didn't want to hear it but did ask that I bring my product in.\r \r When I arrived, he took one look at my product and assured me it wouldn't be covered under warranty. And estimated the cost to repair at $59.50 per hour plus parts. I tried again to explain what the tech told me about the warranty but he wouldn't hear it. I left my product there.\r \r I got a call 30 minutes later saying the manufacturer had denied my warranty because of an issue this location had found. I again told them about what tech support had told me but they held firm. $59.50/hr plus parts.\r \r I called the manufacturer again and was told again my problem should be covered under warranty. When I told them about this location the rep said ""if the location finds another problem with the unit that isn't covered under warranty, then your warranty won't cover the problem"". So then I got it. The location found a problem with my unit so that my warranty would be voided. \r \r I was very dissatisfied with my experience here. Instead of trying to help me get my unit fixed, they did nothing but try to get me to pay $59.50/hour plus parts. They never once said anything helpful. Everything they said was geared towards making me pay for the repair.\r \r I now have to take my unit to another center 45 minutes away to get my repair done. Pros: Good Location. Was helped quickly. Cons: Reps weren't helpful. Did not try to fix my problem. more
