New management, very poor customer service. I brought my car in for a brake inspection at the Nona, Inc. Car-X Naperville location. After I got the estimate, I decided to hold off for now, as the car was safe to drive. When I went into my car, the ignition switch was loose in the dash. It was not this way when I brought it in and when I brought it to there attention they took the dash apart. I have a remote start on my vehicle and there's wiring wrapped around the key cylinder. They proceeded to tug and pull on the wiring and made a feeble attempt at repairing the cracked dash, by adding two washers to the studs that secure the switch to the dash. A few days later I noticed my remote start was not working. I lifted my hood to pull the fuse to reset the system and noticed my access panel to the master cylinder was not in place and the cap to the master cylinder was missing. I then determined if I left a key in the ignition my remote start would work. I brought my car back and left it there to have the brake fluid replaced and a replacement cap was installed. They assured me they'd fix the remote start, as Ian (the manager) had been an installer and was familiar with my unit. I left him the name and contact number to the shop that did the install, some 6 years prior. He had my car for 8 hours and I had to call them at 4:47 pm to see if I was getting my car back. Ian had determined that my module may need to be reprogrammed and a ""flash"" to the system was needed. He never bothered calling the shop that did the install till after I told him again. He avoided telling them the whole story, only that the system stopped working and Soundz Plus offered to reprogram my system for free, if that was all that was needed. Ian was trying to tell me the remote start wouldn't work at all if it was the wiring loop. I took it in to Soundz Plus and they determined the wiring around the cylinder had been wrapped too tightly and was damaged due to the tugging and Ian's attempt to fix it. Ian assured me he'd make good on the repair. I had to go back in, after no one bothered contacting me. The General Manager Trey has stepped in and is refusing to make good on the repairs. The old system is not available and a new module needs to be installed, along with rewiring the original platform. We're talking $230 and they're refusing to accept liability for something they clearly damaged. My dash is cracked, my remote start is not working and they think I will use them for a $935 brake job? I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place. ""Don't Worry, DON'T Call the Car-X Man.""
