I use Car Spa regularly and have had spotty service at best until recently when I had an experience so bad that it requires I post a review. Several times I have asked for a time estimate when having my car wash / inspected and the quote has been short. While frustrating, I allowed it as a mistake and subsequently returned. Today, however, I stressed to the salesperson the importance of making the quote. I specifically asked ""Do I have your word?"" He looked me in the eye and said ""Yes"". This conversation suggests to me that the sales people have no integrity or they are very poorly trained as my car was not ready when they promised. Either way, the management has a problem. After explaining to the GM my extreme frustration, I was told he would 'rectify' the situation and gave his apology with an excuse of needing to better train the staff on how long each package takes. What I needed from him was a sincere apology, possibly a token gesture of a discount and/or conversation that suggested he wanted my future business. I will not return to Car Spa and I will tell my friends of my poor experience. more

The State Inspection was due on my car this month and I decided to take it to Car Spa. They provided a free car wash with State Inspection. The wash was really good and they have provided a 48 Hour clean guarrantee! more

I got my car inspetcted today at the Plano Car Spa and even though they appeared to be busy it only took about 20 min. And that was with a free car wash they gave me for having my car inspected. The staff seemed cordial and the waiting room is very nice and the coffe bar is free. There are plenty of negative reviews but my experiance was very pleasant more

I have gone here for years. I went & had my car inspected. When putting on the sticker, they never removed the glue from the previous sticker & put stick on crooked. I had to go home and fix it, by carefully removing it. My car wash was HORRIBLE. Barely vacuumed.....leaving debris under my seat....water spots all over the mirrors...sloppily dried....DEEP SCRATCHES ON MY HOOD(found following day, thru clearcoat on brand new garage kept car)....interior not wiped down...inside windshield not cleaned....returned immediately and they barely improved the wash...NEVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN...must be new owners more

Don't take your time or your money to this establishment - or if you do take very accurate photos of your whole car - because they won't do anything if you can't ""PROVE IT""! more

I specifically asked them to put 5W30 oil and they still put in 10W30 oil. When I noticed that on the receipt and asked him, first he started questioning me how do you know what oil has been put. I pointed him to the receipt. Then he started giving out BS like we put as per what your car manufacturer recommends. I told him that I have the manual and it recommends 5W30. Then he started like your car has these many miles so its better you start with 10w30 now....and all that BS. If even after telling the mechanic 2 times that make sure to put 5W30, he is still putting a different oil, I don't know how can I trust these guys. I am never going there again. more

I went to Car Spa today to get my oil changed and my car washed and vacuumed. I pulled up to one of the oil change lines, selected my package, and then went inside to wait for my oil change/car wash to be completed. There were only two cars in the bays, so I knew I would probably have to wait a little. Well, inside they announced that the 1st oil change was finished, then the second, then the third, then the fourth?!?! Maybe cars 3 and 4 were just getting oil changes and not getting car washes. NOPE! My car was STILL sitting right where I had parked it in line and this was an HOUR LATER! I just wasted an hour of my time and knowing that it was probably going to be another 30 minutes - 1 hour for my car to be serviced, I made the decision to leave. I pulled my car out of the same location that I had parked it, and went and had my oil changed at another place. (It only took 15 minutes). If you have all day to kill, then Car Spa is the place for you. Otherwise, go across the street! Cons: 1 hour for an oil change with an almost empty bay?!?! more

I went in for an inspection, oil change, and carwash. In one trip they managed to break the following things on my car: 1. My hood release handle 2. They popped off one of my power window buttons 3. Broke the pull ring on my oil dipstick 4. Broke part of my center console I noticed these things after I got the car home and when I went back to speak to a manager he was rude and refused to take any responsibility. He wanted proof that those things weren't already broken. Ridiculous. It was like a ham fisted gorilla worked on my car. Now I have to pry my hood open, use plyers to pull out the dipstick, reach across the car to roll the passenger window down, and I had to superglue part of my center console back together. These people are completely incompetent, rude, and unethical. EDIT - I just noticed my passenger side mirror is partially broken as well ! UN-FRICKIN-BELIEVABLE!! Cons: They will break stuff on your car. more

Never again more

I have used Car Spa for both my vehicles and have been happy with the service until the last 2 trips in January 09. Trip #1 for a full-service wash; my truck had so many spots on it that I know it didn't even get wiped down. In addition, my radio was re-set (which I hate), the interior doorframs had not been touched at all and the vacum job was poor. Trip #2 for my other vehicle resulted in the same sloppy job. I've seen better results from gas station drive through washes. I will still try them once more but will inspect everything very close before leaving. If poor service happens again, i will post and let ya-all know. Pros: Good wash and wax when done right Cons: Terrible wash if you don't insist on re-do more

I have done business with the Car Spa located at 5028 W. Park Blvd. in Plano, TX for the last four years. It was fine until my last experience (which was AWFUL) and every attempt made thereafter to try to rectify the situation has been unsuccessful. Pros: I now know not to ever return. Cons: From A to Z, my experience was STUNNINGLY bad. more
