Having lived here for three years, first in a one bedroom then upgrading to a two bedroom we have seen at least four different sets of people take over the leasing office.
The first lady convinced us to move in and answered all of our questions.
The next lady lived on the property but could never be found when situations came up. For example: When we wanted to upgrade our apartment we began talking to her months prior to the end of our initial lease. She kept saying, yes we have one opening up when your current lease is up. She showed us where it was located and then two weeks before we were supposed to move in she leased it out to someone else. When she finally found another apartment for us, we had to move the washer and dryer ourselves because maintenance was so hard to get ahold of. Let's just say we had a roof leak for two months that we were told repeatedly was fixed and would find out the next time it rained that it really hadn't been touched.
Then, prior to being bought out within the last year or so, the ladies in the front office were beyond helpful. At that time maintenance would get right on any order put in, which before then, it would take weeks and even months for them to come around. It was FANTASTIC!
Now, I rarely see the same two people in the office. The maintenance staff has also changed with the new ownership. Maintenance orders or any phone messages are not returned or if they are it will be weeks later. I wouldn't blame this on maintenance though I think it comes from lack of communication between office and staff. Our lease is up in about 2.5 months and we have been notified of a 10% rent increase. We have decided to leave but for whatever reason the leasing office has developed an attitude with its residents and made it difficult to move out. Granted, not everyone in the office acts this way and if anyone ever deals with John, he has been very professional the couple times I have spoken with him. This new company has done many renovations which makes the place look nice but then the cost of living also increases. People cannot afford the change in price and I would have to estimate that in the last two months my husband and I have seen at least 6-10 people loading moving trucks.
In general, the apartments are decent and we would love to keep living on this property however, with the rental increase, rudeness, and lack of communication from the main office has made it clear that we do not wish to renew our contract. If there had been more loyalty to residents perhaps we would have made it work because the location is great and the community remains safe and quiet. It seems that the new owners wish to completely change out their clientele with the new renovations. I wish them luck trying to fill all the empty apartments in this economy.
