Best Eye Doctor, Best Doctor - Ever! 7/23/2014

This is one of the best doctors - if not THE best doctor - I've ever seen. He truly cares a bout every patient and gives each of us as much time as we need with him to answer questions. He always finds solutions to problems, such as ill-fitting contact lenses. Any time I have had a problem, he has resolved it, and quickly. I have complete confidence in him and wouldn't trust anyone else with my eyes. His staff is friendly and downright fun! He fits you in if you have an issue at a moment's notice. He is available to his patients. I drive a very long way to see him; he's worth it! more

Dr. Canting is AWESOME!!! My daughter had something in her eye that we couldn't get out on a Sunday morning and she was in a lot of pain. I called Dr. Canting's after hours phone # to ask for an urgent care recommendation that could deal with eye issues but he insisted on seeing her himself! 20 minutes later he had the object out. What Dr. opens his office on a Sunday to help a patient these days? I had already been thrilled with Dr. Canting when I was trying to find bi-focal contacts that would work for me. Most people have to deal with a lense for distance and one for up close, but that didn't work for me when working on a computer (middle distance). Dr. Canting saw me at least 6 times to make sure I found the perfect pair even though I was willing (only because I didn't want to bother him) to settle on something less than perfect. He was so happy to help and really wanted to make sure I had the perfect set. Ask any eye Dr. - finding the right prescription for bi-focal contacts can be like finding a needle in the haystack so most drs. aren't willing to suggest it as an alternative for their patients because they don't want to do what Dr. Canting did - take the time to see me several times to find that perfect prescription. I was looking for Dr. Canting's contact and found these reviews. This is the doctor who pinpointed all of my mother's serious diagnoses in a single visit, after it took her years and numerous experts to identify individual problems. Are you there to see the same front desk person or the same doctor? What is equally odd about these reviews is that I have always seen the same front desk people over the years. We have now moved and I still go back there for my eye exams. more

Dr. Canting is wonderful, however, his staff and the intolerable office policies have forced me to go elsewhere. I was told that if I could not provide them insurance information a day before the appointment that I would be cash only. I said I would bring the information when I arrived for the appointment but told that since there were a lot of insurance providers they could not check it prior to seeing the doctor. It is ashame that the message they are giving is that everyone is out to screw them out of their service fee. Holly is the only one on his staff that is reasonable to deal with... the rest have a nasty attitude. Go there at your risk, but bring cash or they may not see you. more

Dr. Canting and his staff are very friendly and make you feel very comfortable.\r My husband and I have been going to Dr. Canting on and off for over 5yrs.\r In between we have tried several other Eye Care Center's and haven't received anywhere near the the same service has we have with Dr. Canting. \r He is very personable and professional...he really cares about his patient's..\r Denise the Optician is very helpful and really know's her stuff.\r She has a talent of swiftly picking out frames that best suit the customer..\r Dr. Canting's diagnosis is right on! \r Our prescription's are always perfect! \r We look forward to future business with Dr. Canting!
