i went last night to candlelight after i have been told millions of times what a fun place it is from my family (my mom loves going there with her friends) and decided to take the short drive from santa monica over. Its actually only about 25 minutes from the westside, and we just hopped on the 405 and were on the 118 freeway pretty quickly. We called from there to confirm our reservation which was for 6 of us, and the receptionist was really polite. i actually thought she was a machine she was so nice lol!. We arrived around 8:45 and for whatever reason valet was extremely polite and efficient. They asked if we were with the wedding, because i guess that is seperate, then we just walked right in!! THE PLACE IS UNBELIEVABLE!! There are flowers everywhere which to me says they really are fresh! and full of life which is so cool compared to typical bars/ restaurants that try to be minimalist and end up being uncomfortable. The place was busy, but not annoyingly so (ive heard saturday night is just crazy) \r

so my girlfriends and i had a lot of just shared plates. i personally had the blackened ahi tacos and the salsa they came with was the best i have ever had!! 3 michelin stars from me!! One of my other friends had a shrimp cocktail and it actually came out on an ice plate.. make of ice!! overall it was a very unique, and fun,and comfortable dining experience. The weather was amazing so we sat outside on the majestic deck and they had a seperate DJ playing outside. He was very good looking, and playing fun music like remxes, and lounge, and house and next to him was a conga player!!! it was really really cool, and with the stars above, the waterfalls around, and candles everywhere it was amazing!!\r
