As a local regular of the Pearl Street community, living two blocks away from the bar, I frequent the Candlelight for events, sports, and holidays. On Christmas night I was there and had a great time! the next monday when I checked my acount I had been chared twice: two seperate, withdrawn chrages of $168.00. When I called to remove one of the charges (that intially had cost me almost double that in bank fines and fees) i was referred to the co-owner Lisa. She blew me off for the enire day, only to call me on her way into a appointment. She was rude, unhelpful, and refused to help me fix the double charge and hung up on me. She failed to recognize my frustration about being stuck with over $300.00 dolars in Candlelight charges and bank fees, she was sacrcastic, and unprofessional, which should have been no surpirse as an owner of a S*&t -Hole dive bar. Pros: Its a fun bar with fun people! Cons: Pay with cash or they'll try to rip you off. more

Drinks are cheap and the eye candy is pretty good both for the ladies and boys alike. I recommend the late night rush. I would be incline to just sit by the bar but it gets very packed so by the big mirror in the pool room would work. the jukebox has a good selection and when the drinks start flowing the girl's starts dancing. Over-all the bars is a good place to meet up with friends but don't plan on having a quiet conversation. it's loud but fun. My friends and I used to enjoy this bar, but after being verbally abused by the owner none of us will ever go back. The bar was not crowded and 2 of my friends began playing the shuffle board game without putting in 50 cents because we didn?t know you had to pay. The owner proceeded to come over and yell and publicly humiliate each of us asking if we even went to college because we were so ignorant not knowing that you had to pay to play. We offered the 50 cents and apologized, but he continued to yell. This went on for over 15 min while all 10+ of us closed our tabs and left. We will never go back but do thank the waitresses for being apologetic for the owners' actions. more

This little gem has got to be the best dive bar in Denver. The wide array of bar games makes this little bar a fun place for anyone and it's even a great place for a fun low key first date - you can play games instead of getting caught in awkward conversation. The Friday Happy Hour crowd is particularly easy on the eyes. At times, it may seem like there are only men in this bar, but DON'T FEAR! It's not a gay bar. Go to the game room for some good times:) But if you're a vegetarian, you may want to eat before you get there. more

I really like this bar, good crowd and good times. However, the cigarette smoke makes it painful.....it's like being trapped in a shoebox with the Marlboro Man. Luckily, after the smoking ban hits July 1, this won't be an issue, and then I'll go back. Pros: Fun Cons: Smoke...for now more
