California Police Equipment rates in my book 2/17/2011

California Police Equipment rates in my book! I bought my Peerless handcuffs and a pair of Magnum Force boots here for quite a bit less than Ace Uniform. The handcuffs were $10 less, and the boots were $40 less. more

Good selection 2/11/2011

They have a decent selection of tactical gear and equipment, so its a good alternative to Ace Uniforms if you're looking strictly for gear. However, they also have a good selection of firearms for sale. I'd have to say this is among the best firearms sellers in town along with So Cal gun in terms of selection, customer service, and overall organization. The store associates were very friendly, let me look at each gun I was interested in, and even told me if the gun I wanted was not in stock they'd order it for me. I have not yet purchased the firearm I want, but I will probably lean toward this store when I do decide to buy it. more

As a female, I am usually frowned upon when I enter a gun shop. When I walked into California Police Equipment I was pleasantly surprised about the outstanding customer service. They had low prices and a wide selection of guns and equipment. I finally found a great gun shop in San Diego. Pros: Excellent Customer Service more

So far I have been here to do business a half dozen times or so. No real issues yet for me. The staff has been very helpful for me and genuinely seem to want to assist you. Just my experience. Pros: helpful staff Cons: expensive more

Poor Customer Service & Prices with New Owners 5/16/2009

Went there the other day and received very poor customer service. The older gentlemen was ignoring my request and just kept pushing the more expensive item on me that I could not afford. The prices are inflated and the neighborhood is a bit suspect. Plus they were not in stock in one of the two items I was looking for. As a cop, I recommend going somewhere else, I know I will. Prices okay, but customer service NOT 5/27/2008

I went in on the first day do simply browse, and found a deal on a firearm that I could not pass up. When I asked to see the gun, the young man behind the counter seems too uninterested in helping me. So I left the store. However, my frugalness got the better of me and I returned the next day to purchase the firearm, but was treated with the same lack of courtesy and respect as a customer. So, in short, the prices are actually not bad, but the customer service is enough to turn people away. If you don't care about being treated well, go here, I suppose.
