Last Saturday I served one of your cakes at my daughter's one year birthday party. Aside from it being just beautiful, it was also so wonderfully tasty! I finally had the nerve to cut into it. I chose the Cake Stand based on a friend's recommendation who used them for their wedding. We tasted cakes and decided on a 3 tiered bridal cake with Amaretto cake and raspberry filling and a grooms cake made with carrot cake. When I arrived at the reception I was warned by my maid of honor that there was an issue with the cake. It was damaged during delivery and they had to take the top two tiers off the damaged bottom tier in order to display any of the cake. On a positive note the grooms cake looked and tasted great. The Top Two tiers of the bridal cake were able to be displayed and any damaged was covered with flowers. We did have just enough cake to feed everyone but I did not get the wedding cake I paid for. After returning from our honeymoon we called the Cake Stand to request some sort of refund and they acted like they were doing us a favor by offering us a $75 cake credit. My wedding cake was sooo wonderfull..First of all the owner was kind..professional and made me and my husband feel as if our cake was the most important one..We gave her a copy of the wedding invitation and said to copy it onto the cake..we pretty much gave free will..We picked out the cake flavor (very hard to choose because all were soo good). The day of the wedding they were on time ..set up everything and the cake was amazing..fresh and just as I wanted. The price is so reasonable and will continue to use them in the future..thank u thank u thank u more

I have purchased cakes from The Cake Stand for everyone of my daughters birthdays, and any other special occasion that I can create an excuse for buying one! The most fabulous cake you will ever taste! Not to mention that every cake has been absolutely gorgeous!!!! Yes, they are a little pricey but my gosh they taste and look heavenly... I lived in Chicago for 7 years, where they have some fabulous Italian Bakeries but The Cake Stand blows them all away! I can't say enough good things! My aunt even carried a cake with her back to Ohio! Cake held up great and it was the hit of the party! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!! more

After calling multiple times during business hours and getting no answer I drove down to the shop. They were closed, it was 1pm on Monday.(They have VERY limited business hours) However, the lights and fans were on. So I parked, went to the front door and saw a lady at the counter. She looked up as I pulled on the locked door and went back to what she was doing. So I grabbed my phone and called, I could hear the phone ringing inside. The lady inside just looked at me, looked at the phone and then walked into the back. I was there to order two custom cakes, but will be taking my business elsewhere. I've never had such a hard time trying to spend hundreds of dollars at a business before. If they can't even treat their customers with respect imagine how they treat their kitchen? more

I was looking for a cake for my boyfriend for his 32nd birthday in the McKinney area. He loves monkeys so I wanted a monkey type cake, but other than that had no idea how I wanted it to look. I submitted my questions online and was called back very quickly. After speaking with them, they were very friendly and informative as to help guide me in what I wanted. I told them what cake flavor and filling and then left the decorating to them. When I picked it up Saturday morning it was the cutest thing ever! The pricing was fantastic! This cake fed 15-20 people and still had left over and cost me under $60. I mean a sheet cake at Target or Market Street costs $30, so this was an exceptional buy! I got German Chocolate cake with English Buttercream filling and a vanilla frosting. That cake and filling were to die for!!! I plan on purchasing all of my cakes from them from now on! Beautiful cakes but service was horrible. Tammy "worked" with us and was rude, arrogant and condescending. I made an effort to contact management via email and phone about how rude she was to us....but no one ever got back to me. She looked at us like we were homeless when we told her what cake we wanted. She rudely said, "Oh, that cake is very expensive..." I told her we were aware of the price and thought it was worth it. She gave us no guidance when picking the flavors or icing (after she shot down every choice we made.. she finally told us this particular type of cake has limited options due to it's shape/size). Instead of helping us, she continued to tell us we couldn't do every choice we made... and it wasn't until we had her write down our options that we were able to make a final decision. The Cake Stand created my wedding cake.. It was absolutely beautiful and all of my guests still talk about how wonderful it was! The flavor was very unique and the cake was moist and gorgeous! They have a loyal customer in me as I have a birthday cake ordered from them this weekend! more

Me and My daughter just hosted a Baby Shower for 30+ people and we decided to go with The Cake Stand because it was close to home and read some of the good reviews on here. BUT NEVER NEVER NEVER will I get a cake from them again! We ordered a simple 1/2 sheet cake for $60. The look of the cake at first was ok... then 1 hr before the Shower started we took the cake from the fridge (as we were told to do) and placed it in the center of the snack table. We noticed within 15 mins the icing was cracking in the front and bubbling out on the sides... We go to cut the cake and icing falls COMPLETELY off the cake! Dont get me wrong, the cake had a great taste, BUT it LOOKED AWFUL! Sad thing is, it was embarrassing! Everyone asked where we purchased it from and said they had NEVER seen a cake do what this one had done... it was awful! Serving it was a NIGHTMARE! II just hosted 150 ladies for lunch and people universally thought it was the best cake they had ever had. Well worth the drive! I have driven all over Dallas to get cakes for events I host and The Cake Stand is the best I've found in 20 years. We usually get a two layer - half chocolate and half vanilla with butter cream filling. The chocolate always goes first! They prefer 2 weeks notice for elaborate cakes but you can get them in 2 -3 days if it's for a casual occasion. \r Mary more

My wife and I were in a hurry. Our best friend put us in charge of getting his wife, another best friend, a cake for her birthday...3 hours before we were meeting them for dinner! We quickly called up The Cake Stand because we heard great things about them. They set us up with a batch of cupcakes on the fly. We picked them up within 45 minutes of the order which gave us enough time to go home and get ready for the night out. That is not even the best part. These cupcakes were the absolute best cupcakes I could have ever even dreamed of. Topped with plenty of rich creamy icing and an awsome surprise in the middle of the cake. We are going back Friday to pick up a cake for my sons birthday! I am getting older but this year I am looking forward to my birthday because of The Cake Stand!
