My favorite italian restaurant. The atmosphere is very romantic and the service is excellent. Great wine selection and the food is always amazing. The meat lasagna and chicken parmigiana the best! more

Remember the TV Show" Cheers"? Well I think Caffe Italia in Coral Gables is the Italian version of Cheers. I have been dining there for 20 years and also frequently take business guests to lunch. . The reason is simple, it serves the best home made Italian food in Miami-Dade County. The pasta, the marinara sauce and the incredibly tasty garlic rolls are all home made. The staff has been around for years and provides a homelike atnosphere. Amongst my favorite dishes are the meat lasagne, the bass a la francaise, the chicken milanesa napolitana and the churrasco steak, as good as any I have eaten in a Steak House for a lot lower price. Last night I decided to try the spaghetti carbonara for the first time, it was so good that I have added it to my list of favorites. My compliments to the owners who have been in business almost 25 years. more

Our office would always order from Caffe Italia. Most of us loved the Spaghetti Carbonara, but lately it has not tasted the same. We maybe thought they got a new cook, but they told us that was not the case. The last 2 times we ordered from them, the food was bland and the Carbonara, always our favorite, was also bland with an overpowering smell of egg. Guess we will give them one more chance and see how it goes. more

My husband and I have been returning for years. If given a choice, this is one of my favorite return-to spots! The food is always good. The atmosphere is comfortable, clean and makes you feel as though you're on a date! Good wine selection as well. My husband is taking me out for dinner tonight, and guess where I chose! more

I'm 32 and have been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid. The food is awesome and I love coming back. I'm a creature of habit so I always get the chicken or veal francese which is delicious and for desert I get the chaja which is amazing if you're craving something light, smooth and tasty. The pizza is also great, it's all about the sauce for me, and Caffe Italia get's it right. On top of that portions are big, service is good and friendly. Lucky for me I know live a few blocks away so I get to visit more than ever. more

Was greeted with a smile and received friendly service! My husband had the chefs special and loved it! I tried their spinach cheese pizza and it had a bit too much spinach for taste but other than that it was good! Their garlic rolls were awesome and their tiramisu was ok but not the best we have had. Its a nice place to go to for a date! more

alpo comes to mind, the staff is rude and the owner when i went to complain is even worse, do not waste your time coming to this dump more

I called w. out any knowledge of the menu...they were very friendly and helpful. They delivered the food hot and on time! And it was great food!!! I recommend the Raviolis w. marinara sauce! more

Growing up, my boyfriend went to Caffe Italia with his family frequently. Since it's a nice place, he decided to take me there on the night that he asked me to be his girlfriend. I had never been there before, but I loved it! The food is delicious. I'm a vegetarian, but I have never had a problem ordering at Caffe Italia. I've eaten great pasta dishes like the tortellini and whole-wheat linguine with marinara sauce and I loved the Caprese salad. The mozzarella sticks are a fantastic appetizer when you feel like splurging. The whole place is very low-key and down-to-earth, yet intimate. I really recommend it as a place to go with friends, family, or loved ones for great Italian food. Pros: Great Italian Food, Ambience, and Quality Cons: Sometimes difficult to find if you don't know exactly where you're going (just like everywhere else in Coral Gables) more

One of my favorite places in the Miamim area.\r Great pizza, I love the home made ravioli with pink sauce, or alfredo and pesto combination, the lasagna is great too.\r very cozy atmosphere.\r I like it a lot.\r congrats.!! more
