Cafe Brazil is the most romantic restaurant in Denver! 7/14/2011

We go to Cafe Brazil almost every other Friday and we can't get enough of it, it is intimate, cozy & fun!!! Their food is amaizing, I don't think there is anything else like this in Denver. Great vine selection. We love the service, atmosphere, people. Their waiters are very nice. We love Geno, he is our favorite - very smart, friendly, professional, always will go an extra mile to make your night special! more

Pros: very cheese and cheap looking -plastic back yard chairs..... more

Feels like a party without costing a fortune 2/14/2010

Food inspired by that of Northern Brazil, the atmosphere is festive and the wide variety of south american drinks is amazing. I like Cafe Brazil for a special night out that doesn't cost a fortune but feels like a great party. Try anything with shrimp in it. more

Great Food, Great Service 11/13/2009

I've read some of the other reviews and feel the negative ones are pretentious drivel. If you're a stickler for service, then you'll go when the crowds aren't so thick, which is what I did. Also, Brazil is a very large country, so anyone stating that the cuisine at Cafe Brazil is not authentic must surely have eaten everywhere in Brazil (get over yourself)! I couldn't have designed a better restaurant experience. The food was fabulous and the service was excellent. I also appreciate the fact that they haven't spent a lot of money on decore. To me that means they're spending their money on the right stuff---the food and the servers. In the end, that's all that really matters. Good job, Cafe Brazil! Pros: Great Brazilian Food more

I felt like I had gone to an EVENT and was so sad to leave! 11/3/2009

Oh - My - Gosh - I thought I had died and gone to heaven. When I walked in I instantly hooked into the beat of ""Bate Forte o Tambor "" - authentic Brazilian music. I was dancing while I was shown to my table. Be sure to reserve well in advance. I was told I would have to eat in the bar when I reserved, but they made a place for me in the main room when I came. I was literally dancing in my seat while waiting for my menu. The energy here is electric! Cool! Hip! All the waiters serve with a very happy smile and high energy. They have 4 high quality speakers placed around the room, and while they didn't dominate the conversation, the music created the hypnotic effect of feeling you are on a sidewalk cafe/restaurant in Copacabana, with the Atlantic ocean waves crashing on the shore across the street. I had the Moqueca de Peixe and it was a PERFECT 10! Did I say it was perfect? It was DELECTABLE!!! While I was waiting for my food I made a trip to the rest room. During that time, my soup had arrived. When I got back to the table, my soup had been covered with a plate to keep it warm, and my napkin had been artfully rolled into a scroll and draped across the top plate. Let me tell you, this is the best continental service that is RARE to find in America. The service is beyond what we are used to seeing here, and is at the caliber of what we would only see in a 5 star restaurant. But this place IS laid back, so it's not intimidating service. Expect the best of the best here. It's a great place for a second date, edgy, fun, cool. There were plenty of people in there in their 50's as well as some in their 20's and 30's. I just can't say enough good things about this place! I want to go back weekly. When it was time to go, I was actually sad to leave. Walking out to the parking lot, I had that same immensity of feeling that one has after seeing a great play, or having been to a great symphony, that you were totally mesmerized and taken over by some form of art. That's Cafe Brazil! Pros: The food, the authenticity, the high energy hip atmosphere. Cons: Having to leave when it was over. more

You won't be disappointed 10/10/2009

This is a wonderful spot for a romantic date or a business meeting (I've done both). The service is great, with just about everyone who works there stopping by your table throughout the night. The food is delicious, tends to be on the spicy side, so consider yourself warned. Your meal is presented as artwork, just beautiful. I was there last time with a large group and everyone had a different entree... all were delicious. You won't be disappointed. Pros: service, menu, small atmosphere, presentation more

Well worth the price 6/8/2009

I was sorry to read that LuvDenvFood had such a disappointing experience. Perhaps requesting the table you'd like vs. being unhappy with what you're given would've worked. Please try again, their service is almost always spot on (I've never, ever had the experience you did). I wish they'd open for lunch - they are pricey and it would give people the opportunity to try the cuisine without such a monetary commitment. That said, the food here is absolutely exquisite. I've tried almost everything on the menu and have yet to find a loser. You just can't beat fresh, fresh, fresh! Pros: The Food! Always superbly fresh and tasty. Cons: This place could expand again and still be too small. more

Overhyped and priced...put your nose up 3/21/2009

Okay, so I thought Brazil was supposed to be layed back and jovial. Not so. Pros: Location...I guess? Cons: Service, Seating, and Service? more

One word: Fantastic 6/16/2008

I have to say that I was truly surprised and impressed by this restaurant. The food was amazing from start to finish. I have to rave particularly about my fiance's dish... a Chilean white fish with a Mango/Pineapple/Macadamia Nut butter. It was one of the best things I have ever tried in my life. This restauarnt is a hidden gem and in different cities the lines would be out the door. Pros: Awsome food and the specials seem to be amazing more

Great little neighborhood restaurant 5/5/2008

I love the food and the drinks are especially tasty, good for a girls night dinner or a nice romantic dinner for two. Pros: Great food, really nice staff more

OUTSTANDING RESTAURANT!!! 3/8/2008

I could not have been more pleased with my dining experience at Cafe Brazil! The food was phenomenal and the service was speedy and friendly! I had the Cazuela Colombiana and savored every bite of it. If you like spicy food, this is an excellent choice. Remember to save room for dessert!!! Pros: Food, service, ambience Cons: none! more

Relax and enjoy the incredible food 12/21/2007

I could care less if this authentic Brazilian food or not. The food is fabulous. I take friends, business associates, and clients here and EVERYONE raves about the food and almost all tell me that they have been back (even some business associates from out of town). Great Brazilian drinks as well. The service is more relaxed than most Americans are used to so don't bother eating here if you're in a hurry or don't want that South American or European ""dinner as an experience"" relaxed atmosphere. This is one of my favorite Denver restaurants. Pros: Great food and drink Cons: Relaxed but reasonable service when busy more

No Follow Through 12/12/2007

My fiance took me here for my birthday in August. We had reservations and had to wait, but I can handle that. We sat down, and had good service, and the food was really good. However, the host or hostess allowed too many people at this table next to ours, and in a crowded restaurant's major pathway from the kitchen, this was not a good sign. I had already scooted as far over away from the pathway as I could because I could see this being a problem at some point, and I was not disappointed. My drink was spilled when our table was bumped by a server. Lucky for me, my foot was the only part that got wet. The people working here took our information saying they would like to make it up to us and would be in contact with us, but alas, here we are almost four months later, and have never heard a word. Had they not made the promise in the beginning, I still would have gone back, but because of the lack of follow through, I won't. Pros: Food Cons: Follow through with service more

Que sacanagem! 10/12/2007

This is NOT Brazilian food. The feijoada is runny bean soup that they just throw in a few pieces of sausage or chicken after you order, not REAL feijoada by any means. Most of the rest of the dishes don't even exist in Brazil. I didn't see one single Brazilian working there to perhaps tell the cook that that he/she had no idea about authenticity. The other dishes that the people in my party (mostly Brazilian natives) ordered were ok, albeit small, and again, not authentic by any means. Over all, very disappointing. Pros: Caipirinha Cons: authenticity, food quality more

One of Denver's Best Restaurants 3/31/2007

I went to this restaurant for the first time years ago, I think in 1999, before I moved from Denver for a few years. Now I have moved back after being gone for years and my husband and I went here for out anniversary about a week ago. Amazingly, it was every bit as fantastic as it was the first time. Pros: The entrees and appetizers do not have equal in Denver Cons: Pretty noisy inside, desserts need improvement more

This place is the real deal! Great Brazilian food 3/1/2007

Went there last night for girl's night and was pleasantly surprised by the customer service and food. Our water glasses were never empty. The food was great. We ordered the cheese special that came with a herbed garlic sauce that was incredible. Our entree's were very flavorful and hot. Large portions and very colorful with fresh vegetables. Order the Cocacabana!!!!! Next time I will order the black bean soup instead of the salad, which could use a little love. Overall great experience. We will be back. Pros: Free parking, customer service and FOOD Cons: can't think of anything more

A small place with big flavor 12/5/2006

I have been to Cafe Brazil several times and I am always suprised with a different dish or a different flavor. Great service and even better food. Pros: such good food! Cons: it is a small place so it can get very crowded more

Amazing food 11/20/2006

I really love this place, always really good. Only down side is that it is always crowded. A bit pricey but worth every penny! Pros: The food Cons: Very crowded more

Savor it 11/15/2006

It's a bit pricier than I normally seek out, but it's such good food I love bringing out-of-towners here. The focus is on grilled meats with accompanying veggies and rice. But no, this description sounds bland. Every morsel is packed with unique flavors and spices. Entrees $15-25. Pros: Food, lively atmosphere Cons: Can be crowded more
