C D's Pet Garden & Emporium

My family and I get our two dogs groomed here and they do such a great job. They always come out so happy and pretty! I can tell that the groomers love dogs,my dogs love to come here and before at the old groomers they didn't like it at all? They also have good dog foods and lots of treats. This store has a huge selection of products and the cutest stuff for your pets. I've been around a lot of pet stores and they have one of the best around the central coast. Their prices are really good too. My mom was very surprised at all the products they offer and the good prices too. If you want a lot of good help and want to support a beautiful local business then from my experience it is one of the nicest stores around, and this says a lot, because I shop a whole lot! Our family has spent over $1,500 in the last 4 months at this store on various pets and supplies. We buy crickets here weekly. The last few times we have gone in we have purchased 150 crickets and they are gone in 3 or 4 days. Our Beardie eats between 15-20 crickets a day. We are clearly not getting the amount of crickets that we are paying for. The cost is not the point, it's the frequency fo our trips to a shop that closes @ 6PM. Tonight, my husband brought this up with the clerk, who said yes beardies can eat that much. My husband says they may be able to but ours does not. My husband expressed frustration to which she replied. I'm frustrated by you too, in fact why don't you buy crickets somewhere else. This woman is the OWNER. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. I don't understand how she would treat us this way after all of the money we have spent at her store. Lady - you give small businesses a bad name. I've been shopping at this store for a while now,because they have the best prices around especially on frontline and advantage! I just paid 59.99 for a pack of advantage at petco and Cd's price for the same exact thing was 45.99! Their customer service is great also,they always give me the best advice for all my animals. My dog was scratching and all the vet gave me was steriods every month, and once they told me about the right food my dogs skin cleared up within two weeks and is not scrathching!! They have good prices on just about everything. I buy my reptile supplies there also and the lady or guy who said that they were rude? Maybe he or she should check out Petsmarts cricket prices because they are 12 for a dollar and C.D's Pets prices are 20 for a dollar,a whole lot cheaper just FYI!Their reptile supply prices in general are a lot better believe me I checked! I would reccomend that everyone checks them out!!! happy customer more

Hit and miss with customer service and a bit over priced but they do have a large variety of pet supplies. It is a local business and if you have the extra change it's worth supporting more

They have a lovely grooming department. Friendly, proffessional, fast and affordable. Carolyn is a DOLL! The prices are a bit high on merchandise, but the store does have a nicer selection than the other local stores. I do think the YOUNG staff could be trained better and a little more knowledgable in the creatures they are dealing with. The store is fun to take your pets too and it is in a great location in town. All around, I do like CD's. more

I have been a customer at pet emporium for about thireteen years, and they always are so good to me and my animals! They recentlly saved my leopard geckos lizards life . I guess it had developed a bone disease from not having any uvb rays, his legs had gotten deformed, the petsmart I got him from said it didn't need any sunlight or uvb rays when I first got him. Well I asked cd;s manager what was wrong with him and she said to give him a sun bulb, and let me tell you within the first couple of weeks there was a big difference! Now it's been six months and he is 100% better and very healthy! So any website that says otherwise is wrong I have the living proof! They also have great prices and treat the animals with great respect, so please always go to pet emporium for any of your animals needs ! They just might save your animals life! more

Not a very happy customer. Went in with my own bird cage and asked for assistance on purchasing prouducts necessary for having finches. Spent $100 on two finches, food, feeders, etc. Within 36 hours, both finches died. Went back to store to ask why they died and to get birds replaced. No one really knows why the finches died, they claimed it was due to starvation. However, I did exactly what they told me to do ~ so I really don't understand how they could have starved to death in 36 hours. They did replace the birds but wanted me to pay full price for the new ones. I couldn't believe what poor customer service I received ~ the manager would not even come out of her office to discuss with me any story policies. Instead, I was told that she was on her lunch break and that I would have to wait a 1/2 hour to discuss anything further with her, but they would give me both birds for the price of one. Wow ~ what a deal ~ I accepted just to get the hell out of that store and I will ne more

I am so pleased with this stores service, they are always very helpful, and give me great advice. I also recommend their groomers, they are very gentle with my two older dogs and always come out looking like show dogs.I have been going their for years,and I am always impressed with how nice they keep the store. I have recommended a lot of my friends to go here and they have been very happy too! They have everything your pet could possibly need . I am a very supportive customer of this nice business. more

C.D.'s Pet Emporium in the cleanest and one of the best pet stores I have ever seen. Their animals are so very well cared for that it makes you appreciate those stores that love animals as much as I do! they also have great prices and a great selection of everything. If you shop here, pay with cash. I was over charged for an item on sale. Then 2 days later checked my bank balance, they had double charged me the original amount. After getting them a bank statement that showed that yes they had double charged me, and spending a half hour on the phone with my bank to get the overdraft fees off my account. I had to spend over an hour and a half on the phone with their merchant services company figuring out what had happened. I was told that someone there had already talked to the merchant co, but the 2 people I dealt with on the phone both asked me why I was calling them and the store had not. Even after being in touch with my bank, a bank statement and having their own merchant company tell them that someone there had messed up and double charged me the manager still basically was calling me a liar. I am really pleased with the prices at C.D.'s Pet Garden & Emporium. I buy food there for my dog and two cats. Recently, I was running errands in San Luis and went into another pet store to buy food for my animals while I was out. I was pleasantly surprised to find that C.D.'s prices are actually lower and their selection better than even the large chain pet stores. It's nice to know that you can support local business and save money too! more

Improving selection by expanding store. Probably largest selection of reptiles in county. Many exotic birds available as well as cats and dogs. Good selection of freshwater fish, wouldn't even bother for salt water fish at this store. Good selection of supplies at reasonable prices. Just the fact that you can bring your pet into this store with you makes it better than the rest. You can even let your dog try out the toys before you buy them so you can be sure he will like them! A+ pet store! more
