Best

Everyone was friendly and now I am taking new allergy tests. They are great and thorough with everything they do.

Barfield M J - Burleson Family Medical Ctr is the worst doctor ever 10/5/2009

They are terrible and I will ever go there again. They performed tests that were not needed and are very slow to approve prescription refills. I could also hear them shouting my results and talking loudly for everyone to here all my information. very unprofessional. I highly recommend no one uses them. more

Saved my husband's life 1/8/2008

Being new to Burleson we didn't know who to choose for our family doctor. My brother-in-law suggested BFMC. These doctors and PA's knew what they were doing! They saved my husband's life. No matter what doctor you go to, you always have to wait. They have a good system down and it works well. Would not go anywhere else! We feel very safe with them. more

Sometimes waiting is good, 10/4/2007

Waits in a walk in doctor's office are to be expected. At BFMC you might have to wait 10 min to 2 hours, but the flexibility to leave your cell number an leave knowing that you will not be forgotten is a wonderful thing. The doctors and staff are wonderful an go out of there way to help. The level of service and the experience of the staff and doctors are very high. Also do not forget the P.A.'s that work there.Wonderful place, wonderful staff, and maybe not fast but very reliable service! more

First visit was my last, ever 6/12/2007

I decided to try BFMC because I was feeling so awful, and didn't want to wait for an appointment with my normal doctor (whom I'd not seen in two years anyway). I got there before the clinic officially opened and still waited an hour and a half to be seen. The nursing staff was great, but the doctor I saw was a self-absorbed know-it-all who didn't listen to a word I said. She diagnosed a 104.8 degree fever, nasty cough, low blood sugar, and low blood pressure as an anxiety attack. Because my white blood cell counts appeared to be normal. She told me she would prescribe me a mild antibiotic, something "over the counter" (direct quote), and then actually prescribed Levaquin. more

Doctors may be good, but service isn't 2/9/2007

I'm new to town. My daughter became sick so I called BFMC. They said to bring here over, no appointment needed. Sounded good, but wasn't.\r We arrived, filled out the normal paperwork (including a form saying we may not be seen by an actual doctor) and waited 35 minutes. They called our name to come back, but it wasn't to see the Dr, it was just to collect our co-pay. I asked how long of a wait it would be, and was told an hour and a half. So we left, and didn't come back.\r I probably would have come back if anyone seemed friendly, or at least smiled at us. No one seemed happy to work there. I would equate it going to the public health department. more

You Don't Have to Wait If You Don't Want To 6/18/2006

I have been using Burleson Family Medical Center since 1999. Dr. Nelon and Dr. Thomas are compassionate and quite personable. Frequently, they have given me free samples for my prescriptions and coupons for discounted prescriptions, as well. They also provide referrals for specialists, and I have never been disappointed. Further, you can receive medical attention without an appointment. Instead of waiting, you can request a beeper and run errands until your appointment. After the beeper beeps, you have 15 minutes to contact or get to the clinic. They have weekend and evening hours. more

This medical clinic has good personnel that are willing to listen to the patient. They are conviently located and the wait is usually not to long. They accept a variety of insurance. more
