Tranquility 12/13/2010

Going to Burbank Spa & Garden is a guarantee day of tranquil happiness. Being in the nursing field we are consistently getting body aches and by getting the deep tissue massage is a great way to start my weekend. My co-workers and I look forward to this. more

NICE PLACE, LOUSY MASSEUSE 5/4/2010

I recently moved to the Burbank area and was very excited to drive by what looked like a cozy local "Spa & Garden." While the Burbank Spa & Garden is charming and has a good selection of services / menu unfortunately both times that I have gone here for massages (once swedish massage and the other time a deep tissue massage), I have been extremely disappointed with the massage itself. A few examples of what I had a problem with at my last visit: way too much lotion / oil used (I was drenched in massage oil and she just kept pumping more on me), my masseuse went very fast with the massage strokes (up and down up and down my leg, my arms, everywhere, back and forth fast fast fast, there was no slow, nice, relaxing pressure), and there was very little focus on the areas I said I wanted her to work on (the middle of my back and feet -it was more like she was just massaging a little bit all over and I kept waiting for her to get to my problem areas). I also noticed that the masseuses wrists and elbows seemed to keep popping in and out of socket, as well as a sort of grinding noise coming from her joints as she was working... I asked what the popping of her elbows was and if she was OK and she responded, "oh, I'm cracking, I do that all the time out of habit... I don't even realize I'm doing it." Wow. Her joint jolts and grinding was extremely distracting. I was also disappointed by the lack of professionalism from my masseuse, for example: midway through the massage when it was time for me to turn from my back to my stomach, she was standing down by my feet and ask me to turnover without offering to help with the towel covering my body for privacy. So there I am, naked under this towel, and she is not holding it up properly so I can roll over with privacy... therefore, I am trying to turnover on my own while keeping this towel in place in an effort to keep my private areas and breasts from being exposed. Not cool. There were a few other issues as well... Overall, I am just really disappointed I did not get a decent massage... I needed it. Pros: Relaxing atmosphere, good selection of services Cons: 2 for 2 on Poor Massages more

MY FAVORITE SPA! 11/4/2009

I have been going to Burbank Spa and Garden for almost three years now, so i was also shocked to read the negitive reviews about the spa. I use to have problems with my face breaking out, and because I work in the entertainment industry, could not afford to have bad breakouts. The staff at Burbank Spa and Garden are so nice and knowledgeable that i got the exact products and best treatments for my skin. Not only do they have great facials but they will also customize it for your own skin! Since i have been going there it has worked miracles on my face! more

WOW! 11/1/2009

Im really shocked by the bad reviews! Ive been going to this spa for years now and have never had one complaint. Their friendly staff and great prices make it hard to go anywhere else. I love the sauna!! Im addicted! Every time Im sick I spend ten minutes in the sauna with their eucalyptus oil and it completely clears my sinus problems. The garden is so peaceful and refreshing to relax in and the staff is always at your service! The nail technicians, estheticians, and massage therapists are all so personable and make it their responsibity for you as the customer to have the best experience! I love Burbank Spa and will continue to get my services there : ) Pros: Best service and overall best spa experience! Cons: none more

Great Spa! 4/20/2009

I had a massage here over the weekend and from walking in to leaving it was a great experience. As you enter the spa you walk through a garden which is a serene setting, and makes you feel relaxed right away. Then you are greeted by a great staff and then the real spa experince begins. I had a deep tissue massage and it was the best massage I have had in awhile. I will come back to Burbank Spa & Garden for sure. I already made an appointment to visit when my mom and sister come in town to visit. Pros: Best Massage more

Great Experience 3/15/2009

I really enjoyed the Burabnk Spa and Garden. It was very affordable and you experience many amenities that are included with your spa treatments. I just went to get my feet done and was able to use the spa, the showers, have tea, eat fruit, and sit in the garden. It was great and it was well worth it. The people are very friendly and are always making sure you get what you need. I would highly recomend this place for anyone looking to get a spa treatment because it was everything a spa place should be about. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

  • The Scene
Separate facilities for men and women are provided for the comfort of customers and both areas are kept clean and aromatically pleasing. Most importantly, though, is that this is a truly relaxing experience. Complimentary fresh fruit is furnished to all clients. Guests aren't rushed out after they've paid. Gratuity envelopes are available for discreet tipping.

    The Services
After nearly four decades, these folks have R&R down to a science. Clients are encouraged to arrive early to use the sauna--with or without eucalyptus--both before and after massage appointments. The most popular services are the one-hour Swedish massage and the deep-tissue body work. Guests also savor European spa facials. Another room is dedicated to manicures and pedicures. A gift shop houses a wide array of candles, sea salts and Epicurean discovery kits.
