Editorial review from Citysearch 7/25/2012

This place has really nice stuff. The prices are a lot lower than other stores, but the quality is top notch. My daughter and son-in-law have gotten beds twice from Bunk Beds and Beyond, and they're very happy with their purchases. I recommend them. more

Looking for solid construction and value - go here 3/17/2012

I've bought bunk beds for my twins here and I recently bought a loft bed for my older daughter. I shopped around and looked at Jordan's, Rotmans, Bobs and Bernie and Phyls. No where had better pricing with solid construction. No pressure sales environment and I mean zero pressure. If you have a question, they'll answer it. They delivered and set everything up - charges were reasonable. I've had the bunk beds (not bunked yet) for about two years now and they are holding up great even after the abuse that two young boys can dish out. I would recommend these guys to anyone who is looking for kids furniture and have. more

a very good product 9/12/2011

I never write reviews, and only ended up here as I have a friend who is looking for a bed, and I am highly recommending BB & B to her... I happened to notice the two negative reviews, which comically were written one day apart... hmmmmmmm... We had nothing negative about our visit to this store... We were very happy with the two salesmen, who happened to be two very regular guys, who were not throwing a sales pitch down our throat... They were helpful, pointed us in the right direction, and left us alone until we had questions... We ordered from them, were happy with the price, got exactly what we ordered and are very happy with it... And highly recommend their products..... more

Great Store 12/11/2010

I don't usually write reviews although I know I should because they are helpful and can influence others in their purchases. I'm compelled to write this one after I read the two ridiculous negative reviews. I visited Bunk Beds & Beyond about a year ago. Although I did not make a purchase at that time I found the two owners very responsive, knowledgeable and factual in answering my inquiries about their furniture. Prior to my visit I had researched the product lines they sell, as I do with any major purchase I am considering. Their answers corresponded with what I had read. No deception. Their appearance? Two ordinary looking men, dressed casually. I would have been uncomfortable if they had been wearing business suits. Short hair, long hair? I never noticed. I was there to potentially buy furniture, not critique the looks of the sales reps. BTW I wouldn't have noticed any of these reviews but for the fact I wanted to check the on the address as I'm planning on going back there after my previous, positive experience. Oh, most important: good prices, delivery service and an excellent reputation. more

Unbelievable! 9/16/2010

I can't believe people who are furniture shopping would concern themselves with writing a bad review on the ownership status and feeling they got from the sales reps. I mean, get a grip! we went in there and even though we didn't buy anything yet (child too small for bunk beds) we WILL be going back when the time is right. The two salesmen work very hard and who cares if it's only them or not, not hiring people when you own your own business saves you money thus keeping the costs down for your customers...as a shopper you should like this!!! geesh, I never read any ones reviews that bluntly insulted them with names! if you're happy with you purchase then leave it at that! a bad review is hurtful and spiteful and to be perfectly honest it is completly irrelevant to your expierence if you were happy with your purchase. Let's practice some good ol' humanity shall we? this country could use a little right now. Be nice, you'll sleep better- you know on the bed you bought that you are happy with! Ugh. more

Excellent beds! Excellent service! 7/18/2009

We bought our oldest son his first ""big boy bed"" here after shopping many other place. From the time we walked in, we knew this was it. The products are SOLID wood. This was not the cheap things we were seeing other places. Certainly will stand up to the punishment of childhood! They are quite imaginative designs. Forts and desks and slides. Wow! So, we've had it for a few months now and a slat broke. I call them up and they're going to replace it with no question. Couldn't be happier! Pros: Patient, skilled, quality more

Thumbs Up from Cat Powers 4/24/2009

The people giving this place bad reviews are lying. We bought our sons 'locker' bed there last year and just bought our daughters bedroom set a few weeks ago. Not only are the prices great, but the customer service is awesome. I have, and will continue to, recommend them to all of my friends and family. Pros: great prices & customer service Cons: nothing really more

Great place for kid beds! 2/16/2009

We looked everywhere for our son's bunkbed and this place had exactly what we needed. They have many of the same beds you would find at Pottery Barn or Land of Nod but for a lot less money. They have reasonable prices and great service--the bed was delivered on time and the guys put it together quickly. I have recommended this store to others! Pros: Good prices, good service! Cons: Far from Boston but they deliver! more

These bad reviews are fake... 10/28/2008

My name is Jamie, and i'm one of the owners of Bunk Beds and Beyond. I'm writing this to let anyone who might be looking for a REAL review on us, that we're a reputable business that's considered by many people to be the best store of it's kind in New England. My brother Colby isn't ""greasy looking"", and I'm not a skinhead. We don't make people uncomfortable. We're not like ""sleazy used car salesmen."" The reason our parents aren't involved in the business anymore is because they chose to be dishonest with my brother and I, and their removal was vital to the survival of the business we've spent the past 7 years building. Yes, we do have furniture made from asian hardwood. Yes, Berg Furniture is made from particle board. Anytime someone has asked a question, they've been told the truth. We've never sold someone something, then given them something else. I'm here nearly everyday of my life, answering questions, selling furniture, delivering furniture, and doing my best to make our business better. If these reviews talking about how horrible we are were real, if it was true, why aren't there more than two? Why are we still in business? It's because someone thinks it's funny to try to destroy what Colby and I have built. It's not funny though, it's sad. It's sad that I have to come on here and convince you that these bad reviews are fake. It's sad that I know who's doing it and I can't stop them. Before I finish, i just want to say this: There are two bad reviews here, but if you come to our store, I can show you about 3,000 invoices from 2007 alone, and they're all from happy, satisfied customers. Thanks- more

bunk beds 8/17/2008

I returned this tax free weekend to buy another bed for a grandchild. (bought here two years ago). I found that the parents were no longer involved in the business and knew that it was time to leave. They (the parents) made me feel comfortable buying, but not this time. The atmosphere has turned to something that borders on ""sleazy"" for lack of a better term. The sales staff, (2 people), remind me of used car salesmen. If you need kids beds, you're better off going ANYWHERE else. The furniture is okay & I'm happy with my prior purchase with a few small problems that a trip to the local hardware store fixed, but it now seems to be a fly by night operation. I don't see it being around in the future for service. I strongly recommend you shop elsewhere. Pros: close to home Cons: to many to list more

shop around 8/16/2008

I can't understand why anyone would do business here. The sales staff consists of a greasy-looking skinny guy and what I can only describe as a skinhead that made me very uncomfortable. I shopped around and found that the ""maple"" furniture is asian rubberwood and that the laminated ""composites"" from Berg Furniture were nothing more than overpriced cheap particle board. I don't like being deceived. Friends suggested the store to me but warned that what you are told you are getting is not always true. Prices were okay but I would rather pay a little more somewhere else than deal with people that seemed to be of questionable character. I say STAY AWAY...VERY FAR AWAY!! more

Stellar service. 5/23/2008

Simple request - you order something and they deliver it on the agreed upon time and day. more

Fantastic Furniture!! 4/28/2008

My husband and I purchased a bunk bed for our son three years ago. It is now time for our baby to get into a ""big boy"" bed and we of course went to Bunk Beds & Beyond. Noting less than stellar customer service and fantastic furniture! Highly recommended! more
