So, yes the building is old and the furniture is not top of the line, but when I go out to eat - more than anything I want food that makes my mouth water - food that you just can't get anywhere else. Forget the normal menu we have become so accustomed to at big restaurant chains - this is food that tastes so good you'll be dreaming about it for days! The service is not bad either - it is a buffet after all, they bring you drinks and there is nothing else for the servers to do after that! If you need fancy and upscale, then this place is not for you - but if you want to relax and eat a lot of great food for a great price, then this is the best place around! I found this place while driving from Daytona Beach back to Naples. The service was great, the food absolutely out of this world, and the prices excellent for an all you can eat. Did I mention that the food is amazing?!! I will look for Buddy Freddies every time I pass by now. more

My wife and I have been going to Buddy Freddy?s (BF) for some time now, and I must say I am impressed with the prices of the breakfast and lunch even with today economy. The food taste great, and the price is fair. I must say however, that the help is extremely crappy. I have had one good waitress ?Natasha? in all my time there. Everyone else treated it like a truly serve yourself restraunt. While the food may be self serve, I did not see a drink machine. Every time I walk in the ladies at the hostess booth look like they have been dragged in off the cotton fields. I though slavery was over. That brings me to my next point, both of them actually argued over who had to take us to our seat. When we were taken to the outer dinning area, my wife asked for one of the many empty seats in the middle, near the food. She has a medical condition that makes it hard to walk. The so called hostess looked in disbelief and gave us our straws and said ?go sit over there?. Wow talk about rude. As I sat down I noticed something peculiar about the layout of people eating??.and I also realized it was this way everytime we go there. Segregation is illegal, yet I still find all the ?white? people eating in one area and all the ?Blacks? in another. It usually flip flops on who is in what section but I never have been or watch a Black family get seated near a white family. This discuss me, and while I will continue to eat there only cause the breakfast food is killer. I will be watching this situation on segregation and bring it to the proper authorities. more

On Oct,31, or, I took my sister and her two daughters from Pittsburh, Pa. to eat ,, as usual food was great. To make it short, a lady was choking in a full dining area, my niece was first at her thumping her back to try to help, I got to her also quickly, my other niece was screaming call 911. The poor woman was chokin to death right there. She was not a small woman and on my third try of doing the heimlick, she stood barely and I got a good hold and when I pulled the water came, then the food. my main concern is hat in all this. ""NOONE"",, from the restaurant or a patron came to our aide to even try to help. Nor did anyone call 911. Your people need a lesson in how to , when someone is in need of 911, to at least call. She ""WOULD"" have died there. After I got her to breathe she thanked me barely able to talk, and a waitress comes by and says, can I get you anything, You would have thought someone would have atleast came with a glass of water to help. I am very very upset at your people and all of the others that no other assistance was offered. NO ONE offered to help us. Sad for a public place. During all this, me, the one with the two recent spinal surgeries, I felt something pop inside of me, I thought it was my back, it took me a couple minutes to let her loose and stand straight up, I thought I was okay, needless to say in about an hour, my chest tightened and I felt as if I were gonna have a heart attack. Still today, my chest is so sore I can barely breath. I will be fine. But ""PLEASE PLEASE"" tell them your staff, when 911 is yelled to at least do that... I saved your place a huge law suit. The food was OK but a bit tasteless. I had to season it quite a bit. Service was subpar but that might have been due to a large amount of people eating at the time. The worst is the building. I was so impressed with the buffet. We just don't get food like this in Maine. More impressive, though, was the service. I have seen such a decline in quality service over the years, but our waitress was friendly and attentive. It is a good value as far as the food goes, but I'd rather have them charge a little more for the buffet and use the extra money to fix the building. The outside of the building is desparate need of a fresh coat of paint and minor repairs. It is a bit of a ""turn-off"" when you walk up to the restaurant and see the poor condition, you think if it looks this bad outside, what does the kitchen where my food is prepared look like? My wife and I stopped by Buddy Freddy's thinking it was a sit down restaurant. My wife and I almost turned around when we saw the buffet but decided to give it a try. We were very happy that we stayed. The food was great! The food didn't have that buffet taste. I swear it tasted like home cooking. I will start with the good first, the waitress was great and the price for a buffett is about the norm. From there on everything is down hill.The food is below par and the restaurant although very nice looking at a distance is beginning to show a lot of wear. We (4) sampled a large variety of their offerings and all agree that the fried fish was the only food that was worth the 40 mile trip we made. The fried chicken was under cooked the smoked pork was over cooked and the meat loaf just wasn't any good.
