I went in today for to look at guitars and purchase picks and a Boss tu-3 guitar tuner. The lady was way more interested in talking to someone about her dog than talking to me. I ...

Worst guitar store I have ever been to, but only when Bryan's wife is working... 12/3/2008

Yes it is true, anyone that has been around Bend for a while and plays guitar knows that Bryan's wife can be a bittch. But you have to consider the situation she is in. Far too many times I have seen a group of dirt poor Mexicans with 20 kids and none speak English. They come into the store and the kids run wild, like a playground touching, and touching, and touching expensive guitars. I am a guitar player myself and have been for quite a while, and if you play you know this rule. NO one touches my guitar without my permission. Its a rule. When I go in there and get asked or ""told"" not to touch anything when I go in their I do get offended and it is very poor customer service skills and I do want to respond by saying ""Shut up stupid fat bittch, I'm here for strings"". But they do have a good selection of guitar stuff and I hate waiting for things to ship from the internet. If only Bryan would wise up, get a good marketing team in there and tell his wife to go fucck herself, he could start bringing customers back in. I have many friends that don't go to Bryan's house of music because of how they were treated in the past and I myself have also been treated rudely there, and it has always been by Bryan's fat wife. Bryan has always been helpful and nice. \r \r My advice, if a fat lady is working, don't bother going in. Pros: Fastest way to get new strings Cons: Having to deal with Bryans fat bittch wife more

Very friendly and helpful! 11/30/2008

I bought my son's drum set in October from Bryan's. I was willing to pay a pretty heafty price for my son's first set. Bryan was very honest and suggested I go with a cheaper in price set to make sure my son was going to stick with it. Bryan and his staff showed my son and I how to set the drum set up and how to tune it. I urge people to give Bryan's a try. more

Awesome service, extremely fair prices and a great experience! 11/15/2008

My daughter just bought a used guitar this weekend and it was missing a screw from the tremolo. I called all over town and everyone recommended Bryan's House of Music. I was a little worried about going there after reading the reviews on here.\r \r I am extremely pleased to report that I could not have found a nicer, more competent guy than Bryan. Not only did he take the time to find the screw I needed for our Fernandes guitar, but he spent the time to go over the condition of the guitar, adjusted the neck and even tuned it for us. \r \r He was an extremely patient, knowledgeable, helpful guy. We just couldn't have been happier. I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but after all the bad press this guy was getting, I felt I owed to him. Thanks Bryan!\r Pros: Huge selection of guitars and accessories. Probably the largest in Bend. Cons: I honestly experienced nothing but professionalism and couldn't find any. more

Horrible Customer service 10/9/2008

At Bryan's House of Music you can expect to be treated rudely. Each time I go in there I am told not to touch anything (well I am in there to buy guitar strings!!!!). It's sad Bend doesn't have much more. Any chance I get I'll buy online rather than Bryan's. \r \r Bryan's House of Music really needs to work on how they treat their customers. \r \r I wouldn't mind spending the extra money if they were nice... but they are not! (I am all about staying local... but in this case, there's no where to go)\r \r \r \r Pros: It's in Bend Cons: they are rude, it's expensive, they are rude, it's expensive! more

Worst music store on this planet. 8/20/2008

This store is without a doubt the worst store of any kind let alone music store. Bad customer service, poor product knowledge, and they are absolutely the most unfriendly people around. How they are still in business is a HUGE mystery to me. I've spent hundreds of dollars there thinking that it would get better, and that I could build a rapport with them....no way. I encourage anyone looking for anything to do with music, do not shop there. Or do, and you will quickly see why myself as well as everyone else who's shopped there will never go back. I would just rather make my own guitar picks and drum sticks. Cons: They act like everyone who walks in the door is going to steal stuff. They treat you like a criminal not a customer. There is never music playing..they are unfriendly, they are not knowledgeable. more

the worst music store I've been in with over 30 years of guitar playing 5/1/2008

Not the best service. The people are not very knowledgable about guitars. They treat you rudely and like you might touch something before asking, your basically offended as soon as you walk in the door when told not to touch before you've even started looking. I had $2,000.00 in my pocket.. own my own business and do very well and was treated like a dirtbag in this store. I was watched like I was some kind of criminal.. PR is lousy and service and salsemanship are non-existant.\r Most guitars in the store were cheaper models anyway and not of the high quality a real serious musician might want... if you dont mind being under constant scrutiny while shopping then head on in but be ready to be offended!\r After 30 years of guitar playing and many many high quality instruments bought and sold I take it as an insult as a musician and a customer to be treated like I was in this store. I certainly know the rules of handling a guitar by now! I recomend going somewhere else like Musicians Friend or another local friendly store! Pros: I couldnt find any! Cons: For a music store its the absolute worst. As a business owner and musician both I can say, PR and customer service stinks! You wont get treated with any respect or dignity and you better not touch! more
