I dont do business with anti-gun businesses. My wife and I stopped in Browns last year, and was met with a sign on the front window. ""No Firearms Allowed"". I am a Vietnam Veteran with a conceal Carry permit. I talked to the manager and told them why I wont shop at Browns in the future. more

Exceptional delivery service! 1/13/2012

John and Brett delivered our new recliners this evening. They were courteous and professional. They were aware of our walls, woodwork and other furniture and took great care not to bump or nick any of it. I had moved our old furniture kind of out of the way into another room. John and Brett asked about it and then very cheerfully volunteered to carry it to the garage for me. Great job, great service. more

BEWARE! 1/24/2011

This has to be the worst delivery I've ever experienced. I bought a few pieces of furniture towards the end of the year (2010) and had it delivered on a Monday. The delivery guys at that time were superb and knew what they were doing. The delivery guys were top notch all the way. I went back at the first of this year (2011) and bought some downstairs furniture and the delivery service was awful. The delivery men broke my door, scratched the walls, and the staircase. Then they tried to say the furniture was ripped from the factory and ignored that they had tore up my home. The delivery men tried to say the scratches were already there. There weren't any scratches on the walls or the staircase before hand and my backdoor shut properly. These new delivery guys were very unprofessional to say the least. This was a very easy delivery, straight in through the downstairs entry to the basement. Nothing like the guys had to deal with delivering upstairs last year. Two different delivery guys delivered this time and they were just horrible. What happen to the last delivery guys? To be honest the delivery men that delivered seemed to be on something. I'll never buy from this company again and I would suggest you do the same. Steer clear, buy from somewhere else! more

Wasn't Too Pleased With Prices 3/17/2010

I couldn't say their service was horrible, it was great. But their prices are a bit over my budget. Times are tough and smiling faces will only get you so far. I recommend shopping around in blue springs for other furniture stores, in particular next to the Walmart off I70 and Texas Roadhouse. Pros: Smiling Faces Cons: High Prices more

Great People 6/10/2009

Brown's has a few good people working their butt's off to get the job done and making sure the customers are satisfied. Josh Lewis for instance works so hard only to receive a pay cut for all his hard work. His work load increased because people quite and the positions weren't filled. Instead the work was just thrust onto Josh. I worked there for a long time and have seen so many improvements in the way the place is run. When I showed up the warehouse was full of trash and debris. I personally think I'm responsible for cleaning up the warehouse and being a leader under the direction of the ex manager David. When I first started to work for Brown's I would show up before everyone else and start taking trash out. The warehouse has been totally revamped and when I left about a week ago the warehouse was in the best shape it's ever been. I would worry all the time about what we could do to improve the work environment. When you have sales ladies coming downstairs crying because they don't know whether they will make it that month or not it starts to effect you. I personally was so strapped for money that I was lucky to stay afloat from month to month. I'm pretty sure I've given myself a ulcer and will probably lose my apartment now. I'm going to give Brown's a 5 star rating. Not because of the store but because of the people making the store what it is. Good Luck Travis more

Great Service 5/7/2009

Just purchased a mattress set, Nancy assisted me in my purchase. She was very helpful and very knowledgable about the various mattress sets. She explained the differences. Never high pressure, which i definitely was glad. Very willing to work out the details once I decided to make a purchase. As soon as I walked in the door, Nancy approached me to see if she could be of any assistance. Theyare to deliver the mattresses in a couple of days, will also post a review concerning the delivery. more

Excellent Customer Service 3/24/2009

I bought a La-Z-Boy recliner several years ago from Brown's. When we bought, their service was great, and their people very knowledgeable. However, it's customer service after the sale that really counts, especially in this economy. I have had very few problems with it, even though I spend a lot of time in it (I've had a stroke and have to sleep in my chair), and I must admit I am rather hard on it. Brown's, and their service technician Josh, have been there every time, and have taken very good care of me. I just had to have the mechanism replaced because it broke in a couple of places. Now, I'm a pretty big guy, and I was not surprised that it broke eventually. Josh came out very quickly, got the new mechanism installed, and even came out on his own time to make sure the back was securely locked in place. I can't say enough good things about those folks!
