Best

I have been to most of the steak houses in Denver, and I have to say, Brook's is the cream of the crop. I have gone to Brook's for both celebrations and business dinners, and I h...

Unforgettable 8/8/2003

I ate at Brook's for the first time back in October of 1998 while I was in Denver for a convention. To this day, I have never forgotten the steak I had there! My mouth still waters when I think of it, and it remains as the best steak I have ever had. I am so glad that we recently moved to Colorado Springs, so I can go back Brook's whenever I crave a good steak feast! more

Almost worth the price 7/30/2003

Everything was fantastic. A little pricey but great atmosphere, food, and service. I will definately go back here again. more

Not all That! 7/27/2003

Brooks looks like many other steak houses dark wood paneling, subdued lighting, white tablecloths, booths, etc. which leads you to expect a great steak. This is where your vision and expectations break down. Although there are many steak selections on the menu, there are only 3 that are prime. The rib eye, porterhouse, and a NY strip. No prime filet?! In addition, they were a little on the small and thin side. Not what you come to expect from a great steakhouse. It is not so much that you want a lot of steak as it is that you want one big enough and thick enough to get cooked correctly. The appetizers and salads were very good. Can you believe the onion rings were the frozen variety! The service was just right. The wine list was a little pricey but well populated with very good wines. Pros: Appetizers, Service, Wine list Cons: Steaks, Noise level more

Brook's Restaurant 2/21/2003

We had heard of Brooks, and as we drove into Denver from out of state, we stopped at Brooks for basic information about the restaurant. Having driven 13 straight hours and dressed in wrinkled, dirty sweat clothes, they still insisted we looked fine. Upon entering, the atmosphere was beautiful and we would have felt totally out of place except that the staff treated us as if we were Heads of State. The food was excellent, and we plan to drive back to Denver JUST to eat at Brooks! This time we shall dress a bit more appropriately, though, but I don't think Brooks would mind if we didn't. Pros: Service, Food, Friendliness more

the best ever 1/13/2003

In steak houses all over the world, nev er had a better ribeye. Needed a napkin to shield the splattering from the sizzling hot steak. House salad is superb! Pros: valet parking, food more

Steak Heaven 1/13/2003

I've visited almost every major steakhouse in this town, and Brook's is my choice for best steak. The meat is SUPERB. Bottom Line. The ambience of the place isn't anything special, but the food and the service are impeccable. They also serve good crab and lobster, and if your meal is anything short of perfect, the management will make it right for you. If what you want is the best piece of meat in town prepared perfectly, this is your place. Pros: Steak, Seafood, SteakSteakSteak ! Cons: Indifferent Ambience, Price more

Best steak in the Mile High! 1/9/2003

Great atmosphere, great service, and the best food you'll find in the Denver area. Pros: far from downtown Cons: close to Tech Center more

Outstanding 1/3/2003

Royalty for a day 12/23/2002

I enjoy everything about Brook's Steakhouse! I frequent this restaurant at least three times a month. Normally, I am too busy to write to search engines but I read a bad review about Brook's and I had to step in. If you want to be treated as though you are the only customer in the restaurant, like royalty for a day, then this is the place for you. The service and food is unmatched with any other steakhouse in the city! I love the treatment there so much that I expect the same service everywhere I go. Unfortunately, what Brook's does naturally, that is giving impecible service and a quality dining experience, does not filter through the work ethic of other steakhouses. I've been to Del Frisco's they care about themselves and the dollar, not the person, or the steak. Pros: quality staff, always delicious more

Bad Brooks 12/19/2002

I'm sorry, but if the editors had a good meal at Brooks it was because they knew who you were and they tried harder. I have tried Brooks 4 times and all 4 times were a bust. Bad service, rude treatment twice, cold food twice. Worst was the wine steward bringing a differant vintage other than I ordered and starting to open without showing me. When I insisted he fessed up to the bottle being a differant (more recent) vintage, very unprofessional. more

Brooks or bust 12/19/2002

I am disappointed to see Brooks merit only a #7 on the top 10 list of steak houses in Denver. Although a little higher priced then say Outback - their food is consistently out of this world. Their filet mignon can be cut with a fork and literally melts in your mouth. You haven't eaten well in Denver if you haven't had a chance to visit Brooks yet! more

Where Beef Reins 12/3/2002

Having dined at many of hte steakhouses in Denver, I find myself still favoring (flavoring?) Brook's. The only drawback is that the place gets way too crowded. Pros: Quality beef, Excellent Service Cons: Crowded, A Little Pricey more

Worth the $$$$ 11/7/2002

We had a party of 6 and the service was excellent, as was the food. Everyone in our party was very pleased with the experience. The steak oscar is awesome. more

tops for food 7/29/2002
