Best

Broadway Veterinary Clinic has been my home clinic for all of my pets now for over 12 years. They've shown outstanding care for my three dogs and cat (as well as previous dog). ...

Worst

Some of the people at Broadway are really nice, and I've been going there for years, but I always dread going if by chance I get stuck with an older female vet who shall go unname...

They care more about making money than animals 7/16/2008

I have taken my dog to Broadway on and off over the years and their staff has become increasingly rude and unsympathetic. There is one receptionist in particular that acts as if you've really disturbed her and she does not have time for you. She has alarmingly bad attitude. However my worst experience was yesterday my dog was in severe pain, yelping practically screaming for no apparent reason. I was terrified and called Broadway to let them know my boyfriend was going to rush her over. When he arrived he was met at the front desk by Marie who before checking to see if my dog was stable demanded that he pay a past due amount of $66 dollars and pay upfront for the visit. While I do not mind paying the past due bill I find it very disturbing that this took precedence over my dogs life and health. I feel caring about animals should be number 1 at a veterinary office not their bottom line. And really $66! That is just not enough to risk my dogs life over. I will never return and urge others to find veterinary care that includes caring and humane treatment. At the very least avoid Marie who would be better suited to work elsewhere with no human or animal contact since civility does not seem to be her fortay. Pros: none, they do not care about animals Cons: marie and a entire staff of unfriendly cold people more

knowledgeable and kind vets 6/18/2008

The vets at Broadway Veterinary Clinic always give us new information about cats that goes beyond what we have learned from reading cat books and websites. They give us helpful guidance and don't make us feel guilty when we do bad cat owner things like letting our cats get chubby or go outside - they just give us gentle advice on what the best practices are, and practical tips for how to minimize the risks. They also give our cats nice compliments and treat them with tenderness, and thorough attention, and they explain what they're doing and what it will cost in a way that shows consideration for our cats and also for us. I always feel good about taking our cats to these vets. more

the vets are awesome- esp Dr Shaad. He's experienced. I've been taking my dogs there for fifteen years and he has always shwon good judgement and given good advice.\r \r \r Cant comment on the the rudeness at the front desk. The care my pet receives is more important than how I get treated. more

Bad front desk? I totally agree! 10/8/2007

First off, I used to work front desk at an animal hospital in California. No matter how obnoxious other people can be, I always had a smile, a sympathetic ear, and a professional friendly manner. We all have our bad days, but the people I served were the people who paid my salary, and I treated them as good as I could. \r \r I have been going to Broadway Vet for about 4 years and I love the Doctors, the facility is top-notch, and the behind-the-scenes staff are great. But every time I go, there's an older lady working the front desk and she has got to be the biggest curmudgeon I've ever encountered in a people-oriented job. I've only gone in when I have a problem with one of my beloved cats - I'm already distressed about my sick pet when I walk in the door. And this awful woman is rude, grouchy and gruff every time. I simply can't understand how she's managed to stay working there for so long having such a negative attitude. Lately I have put off taking my pets there because I just don't more

SERIOUS Front desk Staff problems 6/4/2007

We have not been to this clinic in a long time because we are exploring other options for our dog. Dr. Schaad is AWESOME. We love him. He has the magic touch with our dog. BUT...we hate going in or even calling because the front desk gal was soo incredibly rude and unprofessional. We were floored by her behavior. (She was a young, blond woman). She seemed determined to make things difficult for us and seemed to be playing games. It is too strange to even explain. On a more serious note, we also were having our dog treated for a skin condition and my dog appeared to be having side effects from the medication. We called the clinic and got one of the more seasoned front desk people (a woman) and she started offering her views and opinions about the side effects. She said that the behavior our dog was exhibiting was not due to the medication. I asked her if we could please have the Dr. Schaad's opinion..and she said she would leave him a message, but we never heard back.We also had a quest more
