I have to pretty much agree with all the other reviews I've read about these guys here on citysearch. They are amazing. I moved out of a trinity in south philly and sort of forgot to mention that some of the pieces had to go out the window. The guys didn't bat an eyelash and reassured me that putting stuff out the window was no big deal and that they did it all the time. The whole move took two hours even with the whole furniture out the window situation. Very professional and great customer service. 5 well deserved stars! Pros: Experienced and Professional more

This was my fourth move in Philadelphia, and Broad Street Movers far surpassed all of the other movers I've hired. They are not only on-time, professional, friendly, fast, and reasonably priced -- they also have brains. These guys employed intelligence and resourcefulness, coming up with an alternative solution when my bulky armoire wouldn't fit up my small stairway. I was so impressed with them that I hired them to put together an extremely complicated IKEA closet system for me the next day. I recommend this company without reservation. more

Mark and crew did a wonderful job from start to finish. They were very professional. They arrived in high spirits right on time. Moved in less time than originally quoted, and save me some $$ in the process! My fiancee and I are just starting out so money is tight but I'll tell you this is money well spent. We budgeted for 300 and it only ended up being 235!! And we have lots of stuff. It was worth every penny and then some! This is a message for Mark and all the guys at Broad Street Movers, ""Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you""! This is the first review I have ever left but I really felt I needed to let people know how great these guys are. I was dreading the move from my third floor apartment that I had been living in for 5 years. You collect a lot of important stuff (junk!) in that amount of time and I just couldn't go through the hassle of renting a truck and then bribing my friends to help me with pizza and beer (I miss my 20's). Anyway, Broad Street showed up on time in a nice clean truck and three guys did in 3 hours what would have taken me all day in the past. I was concerned that I had packed my books to heavy but they said they were fine and proceeded to carry two and sometimes three of these boxes at a time down the steps! The guys were pleasant and cool and made me feel at ease. Price was very good and far exceeded the service provided. Pros: Fast and friendly. Very professional. Straight forward pricing. more

Mark, the president, was very responsive and reliable. He responded to my initial e-mail request in less than an hour and within 15 minutes in my subsequent e-mail conversations. He was easy to reach by phone, and was very good at following up dates, times, prices, etc. Mark had a very good attitude and when I told him I didn't have enough items to move for the 2 hour minimum, he was willing to waive the travel fee, which is an additional 25% of the overall cost. I had called another moving company and it took them at least 2 days to get back to me; needless to say, I was not impressed. more

Mark and his team of movers came to our rescue after being stood up by our originally scheduled movers (Tweety Bird). The guys were fantastic!!! They arrived right on time and worked quickly and efficiently. The prices were very reasonable and Mark was even able to fit us into the schedule with extremely short notice. I hired Broad Street to help me unload a truck filled with 3.5 bedrooms worth of stuff and move it into a 3rd floor walk-up. The guys were incredible. They were professional, careful, fast, and friendly. They put stuff exactly where we wanted it, handled everything carefully, worked continuously for the entire time, and, on top of all that, they were really nice. I decided to use Broad Street Movers after reading their add on craigslist. Something about the way it was written seemed really heartfelt and honest. Called the office and spoke with Mark, the owner, and I really got a sense of how he felt about his commitment to doing a great job. There are so many horror stories with movers (I've experienced a few first hand) it's harder to choose one than to buy a used car on ebay without ever having driven it! Mark was on the crew with two other guys and as soon as they got to my house in S. Philly they went to work. I had packed for a month and the stuff just flew out. They kept thanking me for packing so well, I couldn't believe it. The guys were super friendly and everything made it to my new place in the NJ burbs in four hours. Granted my house wasn't that big, just my wife and I, but it was still pretty amazing. They even wrapped my new leather couch in this ingenious couch shaped blanket/pad thing I had never seen anyone use before. A great move, we we're thrilled. If we ever move again (I hope not soon!) we'll be sure to call Broad Street Movers. Pros: Good price. Fast and efficient. more

I can't express how great our moving experience with Broad Street Movers was. My wife and I were just married and were moving for the fist time together, so we had to move our combined belongings which looked like a herculean task. Broad Street Movers took it all in stride, even though we were moving at the end of a hot August day. Mark was extremely nice and took control of the whole move, leaving me to just sit and contemplate how we were going to unpack and organize all of our stuff (we should of hired them for that too). This is one of the best moving experiences I've ever had. The guys were friendly (and clean) and potentially cared more about my belongings than I do. They came early with all of the right supplies to get the job done quickly and efficiently. They charge by the hour and were obviously not trying to milk me since they got the entire job (moving out, loading the truck and moving into the new place) completed in 2 hours. I used Broad Street Movers a couple weeks ago on short notice to move lots of furniture from my apartment to a friend's house because I'm going abroad soon. I can get kind of nervous about people not following up, and they called back to confirm the appointment and later, the morning of, before they showed up. After the truck was loaded, they offered to load my bike and let me ride along in the cab to my friend's house. There was no minimum time for the job and they finished the job early.
