Worst

I used Broad St because of all the good reviews. However, my experience was TERRIBLE, and I would not recommend this company to anyone that I actually liked.

Excellent experience 4/20/2010

I would definitely recommend Broad Street Movers to anyone looking for a great moving experience. They moved fast and completed my move an hour less than I expected. They got everything in and out of my house quickly and nothing was damaged. They were polite and friendly and made my move much less stressful! Best Moving Experience Ever! 4/16/2010

Mark and his crew moved me just after the first 2 feet of snow fell in Philly, on December 23, 2009. I was so nervous that they would cancel because the streets were still a mess, but when I called to confirm, Mark said that they still planned on moving me. They arrived on time, they were so pleasant and professional, and really did a great job. They even had to bring my couch into my new place through the window and they took care of that with ease as well. This really was a phenomenal moving experience and I highly, highly recommend them. Highly recommended movers - this review is genuine 4/11/2010

I hired Broad Street to move us from a one bedroom to a two bedroom apartment in Old City. Not only did the movers show up on time, they got right to work. They were able to move our sofa around some weird angles. When our box spring for our bed would not fit up the stairs to the second floor of our apartment, Phil (one of the movers) called Mark (the owner), who arrived with some straps to hoist the box spring up to the 4th floor balcony. They did this without hesitation or complication, and did not charge extra for this. Broad Street Movers took the stress out of moving and helped us make a smooth transition from one apartment to another. I have already recommended their services to people, and will continue to do so. You will not be disappointed. Pros: Efficient, courteous, experienced Cons: none whatsoever more

Best moving day 3/26/2010

They gave us no problems when we had to reschedule twice, and showed up on time on the right day. Very enthusiastic, the three guys quickly started carrying heavy boxes of books on their backs down stairs and moved us out in about 90 minutes. In our new apartment, our furniture was set up carefully and quickly, they made good use of the elevator time and space. The framed artwork came through safely as did the glassware, and they even complimented us on our taste in furniture and art. Job completed in exactly three hours and we were very happy with the service. Pros: really know how to move heavy boxes and delicate furniture more

....but Broad Street Movers did not miss a beat. Our move from a center city apartment to south Philadelphia rowhouse presented some unique challenges--loading the truck in a driving rainstorm...pulling an oversized couch up the side of an apartment building...parking on a south Phila street...yet the four young men who accomplished all this did so with focus, skill, and a suprior work ethic. There were no delays...no complaints...no damaged goods. These guys provide EXCELLENT moving service for a very reasonable cost. more

Excellent Movers 2/11/2010

These guys were great! Not only did they work with me to reschedule due to bad weather (remember all the snow in Jan and Feb of 2010?) but they were so careful and hard working during the move. I moved out of an old house with narrow stairs and was afraid my furniture would have a hard time getting down the stairs. These guys had no problems with the stairs! They worked non-stop and did my move in record time. I couldn't have done it without them!! Pros: Good with tricky moves! Cons: NONE! more

Perfect Movers 1/26/2010

A completely perfect move. They were on-time/early and moved a 2 bedroom apartment into a house in 2.5 hours. They didn't stop working for the entire time, moved everything with care and made sure not to charge a minute more than they worked. They are also completely cool, friendly and accommodating. On NYE I moved from Bucks Co to Center City- on this day, mother nature decided to put about two inches of snow on the roads. However Broad Street movers were EXACTLY on time! Pros: Punctual, friendly, trust-worthy! more

I hate moving but these guys made our day so much easier. Pleasant personalities, super quick with packing, loading & unloading and very reasonably priced. Would recommend these guys to anyone. This was our first move we hired movers. We lived on the 3rd floor with only stairs. They figured out how to get big, awkward items down the stairs efficiently. It was a great experience for our first time hiring someone else...and well worth it! Pros: friendly, laid back, hard working more

A company you can trust! 10/22/2009

I am so glad we hired Broad Street Movers for our recent move from South Philly to Wilmington, DE. After interviewing a few other moving companies we decided on Broad Street for a few initial reasons: they start the clock when they load your stuff (most companies don't); they are affordable; they are local; and most importantly they care about making your move their top priority. Mark is the owner and was very pleasant and professional to deal with. He can come to your residence to survey what needs moving and the best way to do so. He was even on the job for our move. Mark's crew is awesome - they are VERY careful, quick, and take the time to ask your opinion on where/how things should be moved. For our move, they braved 2 days of flu-inducing weather and 2+ hours of traffic to move 2 truckloads of our belongings. Mark even gave us a break on the moving costs in the end. I highly recommend Broad Street Movers and kudos to Mark, Phil, Wes and Maxwell for a job well done!!! Pros: quick, professional, careful, attentive more

100% Perfect - Call Broad Street first! 10/18/2009

Everything about my experience with Broad Street Movers was fantastic. Owner Mark is very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and he went over everything with me prior to the move. The guys were right on time and wasted no time getting to work. All of the furniture was wrapped and every single item was treated as if it was their own. The guys also had great attitudes, were very friendly and outgoing and really helped to make a stressful day actually fun. They took care in making sure that everything was right where we wanted and really went above and beyond with their service. Broad Street's rates were extremely competitive and unlike other companies they don't start the clock until the get there and they stop they clock when the last item is in the house (not when the leave the office and when the return to the office). Smooth Move! 10/16/2009

In a word ? PHENOMENAL! Mark and his team are fantastic, and truly professional. They are friendly outgoing guys who made moving a breeze. All of my furniture was carefully wrapped and transported without so much as a single dent, nick or scratch. My new apartment had a tight stairwell with a turn mid-way, but by some magic they turned and twisted several huge pieces of furniture right up without even breaking a sweat. Also, of all the moving companies I contacted ? and I contacted a lot ? Mark was by far the most responsive and attentive throughout the entire process. Moving can be stressful, but that level of customer service and their professionalism on the job put me at ease. I highly recommend Broad Street Movers, and will certainly use them again. THEY MADE MOVING DAY SIMPLE AND FAST 10/13/2009

Broad Street Movers saved my life!! I moved from a house to a small apartment in the third floor that had many spiral staircases, which made moving almost impossible. I have several large pieces of furniture that I could not imagine would fit up the stairs. Broad Street Movers somehow made it happen. They arrived on time in the morning, packed up my house in no time (and carefully wrapped every couch, piece of glass, picture, etc.) and somehow brought everything up the crazy spiral stairs. When we couldnt figure out how to get the biggest pieces up the stairs, they hoisted it up the house onto the roof and brought it through the deck. I had never seen anything like it!! I cannot imagine using and other moving service and will tell everyone I know to use them. You would be foolish to choose another service. Also, VERY reasonably priced. Great Movers!! Great Service! 10/5/2009

Mark and the staff at Broad Street Movers worked to accommodate a last minute move request for my family - amazingly nice, professional, efficient. They had us unloaded in under an hour - and that included hoisting two pieces of furniture over a balcony unscathed (narrow hallways of historic philly buildings)! I would call them again in a heartbeat. I have never had such a stress free moving day. Really fantastic! We also used Broad Street Movers to move about 20 boxes between two Center City locations...They did an amazing job, were done in the blink of an eye and are truly the nicest guys. Excellent moving experience 9/12/2009

I had an excellent experience with Mark =moving my daughter into her apartment in Philadelphia.Mark was without a doubt, the best moving company I had ever deallt with. He was on time, had 2 men in his company unload a completely filled cargo van and have the entire contents in my daughters 9th floor apartment in 30 minutes. All three were incredibly pleasant and helpful. The next day I returned to bring more things for my daughter and I was running late, but Mark waited for me to get there to rent a cart and helped me unload my filled SUV and even helped me take everything to the apartment and unload it.
