This was my first experience with professional movers and they were wonderful! My move was a long distance move?from Raleigh to Philly?and Mark was great in discussing my furniture and the details beforehand. He always responded to me quickly and was easy to reach any time I had questions. On the day of the move, Mark and his team arrived in Raleigh at our arranged time and were very quick and methodical about moving and packing my things. Once we were in Philly, they were great about working out issues with parking the truck (I moved in on a very busy street near Rittenhouse), and they quickly moved my whole apartment across two lanes of traffic and up four flights of stairs. Everything arrived in tact, not a thing broken. All in all, it was a great experience! They were friendly and helpful, but also very professional. i moved from manhattan to philadelphia on august 4, and i hired broad st movers to do the job. these guys were fantastic- they showed up right on time and called me to tell me they were on their way, as requested. once they arrived, we had some problems parking the van on third ave but they were extremely easy-going and were not phased. i lived in a very small 1BR and these guys were done moving the stuff within 1.5hrs. their method of loading the items onto the van is much faster than that of other moving companies- who wrap each piece of furniture individually in cloth. broad st takes everything to the truck and wraps it all when its loaded- which is much faster. none of my furniture was damaged. when these guys get paid by the hour, its nice that they work so quickly. moving everything into my apartment in philly went extremely smoothly. we started moving at 10 30am and i was fully loaded in philly by 3pm. i was charged very fairly, and the guys (whose names i forget) were generous when billing my hours (they could have charged me for more hours without me objecting). mark and his team is extremely professional and i highly recommend them for any move! more

This was my first moving experience, and the gentlemen from Broad Street were excellent to work with. They were accommodating (I had to change the moving date just a week before my planned move), instructional (they told me what to pack and how), and once the job commenced, they were incredibly efficient, professional, and easy-going. The entire job moving from University City to Rittenhouse Square took under 2 hours, their rates were reasonable, and most of all, they made moving a relatively painless and relaxed experience. I highly recommend this company. more

I would strongly recommend Broad Street movers. I moved between cities on the East Coast a few days ago, and the moving experience was seamless. From the initial reservation process to the actual move itself, I had a great experience. I had a horrible situation moving my business. We scheduled the move then ran into big problems w/construction and had to move everything back out after 4 hours of moving it all in. Then I had to schedule an urgent move on the last Friday of the month with only a few days notice. They were MORE than accommodating and really went out of their way to help me get the move done under stressful circumstances. I would highly recommend them. We moved from center city to west philly in mid-June. Initially we were a bit concerned with all the 5 star reviews of broad street movers as it seemed a bit too good to be true. We were the second move of the day scheduled from 12-3, and were told they could arrive as early as 11. The elevator at our new apartment was reserved from 12-3 as well. Non-ideal, but both the movers and the apartment had specific blocks of time and were inflexible about adjustments. The movers did not show up early, and were in fact an hour late. Upon arrival, they were rather non-chalant about the fact that they were late, and didnt seem concerned about the prospect of missing our second elevator reservation. luckily the people who had the elevator reserved after us only moved one item, so we were able to use the next slot. all in all, they moved things satisfactorily, though i wouldnt classify it as a 5 star experience. the guys were nice enough, but just really didnt seem to care about the logistics and impact of their lateness. im not sure why every rewiew is so perfect, but we had a different experience. also, ive read reviews stating Mark is there on every job, this is not the case. My wife and I had accumulated a bit too much stuff for us to try to convince friends to haul it all through the city for our last move, so we hired Broad Street Movers. They were among the best rated on this board and a few others, and after our first contact, it became pretty obvious why. Mark was easy to work with, they showed up on time, were super careful and fast moving all of our junk. It was one of these super hot summer days, and they moved everything into our 3rd/4th floor apartment faster than I would have thought was possible. Really nice guys, too. It costs a bit of money to hire a mover, but when you get a crew with this much quality, it's so, so worth it. Pros: On time, efficient, hard working, careful Cons: None to mention more

My husband and I just moved to area from North Jersey. Didn't know who to call etc, but Broad came recommended from a friend up north. From moment we spoke to Mark, we felt we were in good, efficient hands. Not only were they buttoned up and answered all of our questions on cost, estimate, time and proof of insurance, on the day of the move, they showed up on time, were professional and personable. A really nice group of four young guys and a truck took care of everything we had, as we moved from a house to another house in Radnor area. They finished earlier than expected and at a cost VERY reasonable and lower than estimated. Can't say enough about these guys. Would recommend or hire again in a heartbeat and believe me, we've had our share of decent to plain crooks move us in our time. Thanks Mark and team. I moved 6/10/10 from Philadelphia to Southern Jersey. We also picked up some items from central jersey. I lived in a 3rd floor walk up with loads of stairs. Chris, Joe and Maxwell hustled like I couldn't believed. They were prompt at 8:00. They were finished moving all my things out by 9:30. The drive to Central Jersey and South Jersey took longer than it did to load and unload. I would recommend Broad Street Movers to anyone I know. The last time I moved, we broke numerous things, Broad Street took care of our belongings like they were their own. I cannot say thank you enough to them. Pros: Fast, Efficient, Friendly more

My husband, daughter and I moved from North Philly to Delaware this week and have to say we have had the pleasure of working with Broad Street Movers! I did a lot of research and called a dozen or so places before finalizing Mark Candidi and his team for the job. He put us at ease with his professionalism and his no nonsense approach to moving. He PROVED to us that efficiency and professionalism are not just advertising phrases it is what Broad Street Movers are all about. Mark, his brother and Wes breezed through loading driving and unloading our home across state lines, showing the utmost care and being pleasant and completely professional all along. From the minute they got there they never took a break never stopped to ponder how to fit something in. These guys were physically fit and totally in sync with each other. It was team work at it's best. Take it from two professionals who deal with teams and efficiency at work. We were truly impressed and they exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds and this is no easy task. I cannot say enough to recommend these guys to you but I know I will NEVER use another company again and feel blessed to have such an amazing first experience with a moving company. Working with Mark and Broad Street Movers is a breeze. The movers called me when they were on their way to pick up, 30 minutes ahead of schedule. Our second stop had more things to move than planned, but the guys handled the extra load with no problem. They delivered everything efficiently and in perfect condition and even put together a bed and offered to put another heavy item in my car for me. They went above and beyond, and I would recommend them highly to anyone looking for a quality move in and around Philly! I can't even describe the load that was taken off my back by this guys. They made this move quick and stress-free. They arrived right on time and my entire 3+ room apartment was cleared out before I even knew it. Don't mistake their quickness for lack of professionalism. I used Broad St. movers about 3 weeks ago and they were AWESOME! It was the first time I ever used a moving company so I was a little nervous about it all. I recently moved from Northeast Philly down to Old City. These guys were on time, fast, reliable, honest and dependable. I wasn't at my old place when they arrived because I was down at my new apt waiting for some new furniture to arrive. They totally could have ripped me off but they had everything moved from the old location to my new place in about 2 hours. I was so impressed. Everything arrived in the condition I left it. 2 different one bedroom apts were moved to a third different place within the center city.Three movers, (I helped also) it took us exactly two hours! I was a little bit concerned because 73/74 reviews were 5 star ones, which looked a little bit suspicious, I have to say they deserve them!
