Sorry inadvance for the following novel, but I think people should really get a feel for the way this shop handles its business before taking their vehicle here.\r

Just as the other reviewer, I feel I was lied to repeatedly. I dropped my truck off Monday, 5/20/13, after making an appointment the previous week to have a switch wired to LED accent lighting in my headlights. The person I spoke to in person when I dropped it off on Monday, Chris, told me that they were super busy (although I had an appointment) and he hoped to work on my truck that afternoon, and would call me with a quote for the work shortly. I told him if he thought he could do it, to also give me a quote to hook up the ballasts/wiring harness for the HID's that were going in the headlights. He said the work I had described to him and shown him would be no problem and pretty straightforward. I never received a phone call Monday and ended up leaving my truck there overnight.\r
\r
Fast forward to Tuesday morning, I call Briggs and ask to speak to Chris to find out the status of my truck. Ed, the person I spoke to over the phones exact words were "" Chris had a dentist appointment that nobody knew about, but should be in to work any minute. I'll have him call you as soon as he gets in."" I never receive said phone call and had to call THEM back at 4:30 only to be told by Ed that Chris had gone home sick for the day. I was also told that my truck had not been touched. Not wanted to continue talking on the phone and wanting to speak to someone in person, I told Ed that I would be there when the shop opened on Wednesday.\r
\r
Which brings me to today, 5/22/13. I showed up at 8:00 am just as the shop was opening and ran into Chris and Ed both. When asked why my truck had not been touched and why I hadn't received and updates at all, Chris said ""well I told you I would get you an update"" and walked away. I actually had to follow him out into the shop to continue talking. When asked again what had taken place the previous days and why I hadn't been contacted or the truck worked on, all I was given was ""sorry"" When asked what the estimate on time would be to have the original wiring done + the HID's/harness, I was told 3.5 hours. 3.5 hours at $95.00/hour. That cost would have been half of what I payed for the lights themselves.\r
\r
After hearing how much it was going to cost, I told Chris/Ed to forgo the HID/harness and just do the original wiring as planned. Once I said this Chris said he was too busy to work on it and didn't know when he could get to it. I asked if he was just mad now that he wasn't going to get as much money to do the shorter/simpler job, I was told that I should take my truck somewhere else. When pressed why he had time to do a 3.5 hour job and not a shorter one, Chris said he could do it but it ""would only be half assed, because that's all the time you're giving me"", and if I left it until FRIDAY, he'd ""see if he could get to it.""\r
\r
Sooo, you have time to do a 3.5 hour job, but anything less and suddenly you're booked and don't know when you can get to it? Nevermind the fact that I had an APPOINTMENT on MONDAY to have it worked on, and it never was. I told both Chris and Ed that this was BS, and that had screwed me out of 2.5 days when I was on a timeline and could have had it done elsewhere.\r
\r
Needless to say I go my truck and left, and ended up taking it to shop just down the block. After explaining to the manager what had happened, he told me that this wasn't the first time he'd had customers complain to him how they were treated at Briggs, and his own God mother OWNS BRIGGS! He quoted me an 1.5 hours tops, and as of right now my truck should be finished this afternoon.\r
\r
Moral of the story, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO ANYONE.
