I have a credit account with a major car repair company that goes through CFNA. Out of the blue, I received a letter from them, stating they were lowering my credit limit by $100. In the letter, they referred to a specific credit report as part of the reason why the limit was changed. I received the same credit report and reviewed it. I found nothing wrong whatsoever. So, today I called, and no one could tell me a reason why it was changed. The second person on the phone reviewed the credit report and stated that she saw nothing bad on it either. Then she informed me that they have their own method of calculating things that is much different than anyone else's method. I am not concerned about the change in the credit limit, merely in the potential issues with refinancing my home soon. You would think that a supervisor would be able to know why this was done. The two people I spoke with were very nice, but seemed to have no knowledge nor access to help someone beyond offering a balance and taking a payment. Maybe if and when someone can give me an answer and a resolution, everything will be fine and I can raise this review, but we will see.
Pros: The people are nice.
Cons: No one could give me a reasonable answer for their actions.
