I always get a paper statement from credit first every month I payed by Phone, mail or the internet. I had a balance of a little over 200 dollars on my credit first firestone credit card. I went online to register my card and pay my bill. The following month I was not able to access the site due to the fact that it was down. I called and paid the bill over the phone $60.00, close to the end of that same month I decided to payoff the account. I went online and submitted the full balance on the card. A four months went by and I was going through my hotmail e-mail account which i rarely ever use and noticed two statements for late payment from credit first. I promply went back online and submitted the payment for the full balance like i did a four months before. This company is so bent on cutting their cost they even designed their website so that when you pay online. you can be switched to electronic billing without you even realizing it. Of course they would preffer this method since it would save them thousands in preparing the paper statements. This was a very bad situation for me, Because I happen to be paying off the bill I was not expecting any more billing from this company so when non came I had no clue that their shotty website did not process the payment and worst I was switched to e-billing so I never was alerted to the situation till i just happen to stumble across the e-mails. After speaking with many individuals in customer services and management All I got was we cannot help you. If our website is faulty and did not register the payment. it's still your fault for not getting the payment to us on time..... I now sport a bad mark on my otherwise excellent credit because of this. My response is Firestone has just lost a good customer because of this shotty comapany.
