I have been here on two occassions with my friend the bride- the first experience was much better than the first- and it had to do with who was helping us. The first time out the bride hadn't tried on dresses prior to that day and the sales girl really helped narrow down what the bride was looking for. more

I went on a tuesday afternoon to look around and not try anything on, I wanted my mom to be able to come with me when I picked my dress. After looking around for about a half an hour, I could not find anything that I like to even try on. The sales lady kept asking me questions and I just wanted to be left alone. She kept asking me to try things on. I was annoyed. I told her I wanted to wait for my mom. I felt they were a little pushy and slighly annoying. I didn't have a desire to go back. I spent 20 minutes in this place and couldn't wait to get out. I thought the sales lady I was working with was pushy and rude. She kept asking me questions non-stop and had a rude personality. I did not enjoy working with this store at all, I did not like their selection and the sales lady I was working with was quite annoying. Cons: Pushy Sales People more

So, my wedding is also October 2008 and my dresses were supposed to be in Mid-July also and it is now the beginning of September. :( :( I'm just sick of crying over this place not having my bridesmaids dresses. I'm stressing out so bad, my girls still have to get alterations on their dresses, and my wedding is in exactly a month!!!! :( :( My friends aunts bridal shop has the exact same dresses they picked out and now i wish i would have went there instead, because i know they would have been in on time, I just thought this place looked really interesting and the ladies were pretty nice. Now I'm regreting my decision, if they get my dresses soon I will be so relieved and happy if not . . . . . I will freak. Pros: One of the ladies is very nice and seems like she genuinely cares about getting your dress. Cons: It is taking forever to get my dresses!! more

Ok, so I'm getting married October 2008 also, thank god i got my dress at David's Bridal, because I'd be a huge bridzilla right now!! My girls ordered their dresses 6 months ago and they still haven't come in!! They were supposed to get their dresses a month ago!! and I've called and called and been treated really poorly and they've been extremely rude and not answering my questions, and giving me the run about. I am just so unsatisfied with this experience!!! Sandy is the lady that helped, and she ordered the wrong dress for my maid of honor and then when we came in for the second girls we figured that out so we had to re-order the dress!! That was in FEBRUARY!!! It is now almost the end of AUGUST!!! WTF?!?! SERIOUSLY?!?! Is it really that hard to put an order in!? And why do you have to wait to put orders in until all of the girls have put their orders in?! It's so stupid, and they were so rude to my bridesmaids!! It was unbelievable~!! I can't believe they've stayed in business this long!! No wonder there was like NO ONE there when we were there!! I wish I would have read these reviews before hand!!!! Now my girls will have like no time to do alterations, seriously, how does it take 7 months to get dresses in when it's only supposed to take 5?!?! Do I have to go in there everyday and bother them until I get my girls dresses?! BECAUSE I WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: They had a couple of cute knee high bridesmaids dresses. Cons: OMG, way way too many!! Horrible with sizing, ordering, customer service, EVERYTHING!!! more

Tuxes for children are really $140? They did not have the right size for our child, so we had to get a size that was too big and make it work; still paying full price did not seem right. Service was good and the ladies were very good with children. more

Go in there and they don't even give you time to look to find a bridesmaids dress. Next they size you in 2 seconds (not kidding). 5 months later you get your dress and they don't let you try it on before you leave. Come to find out that they sized you so wrong it isn't even funny. I was able to step into my dress, without unzipping it. I then had to hold it up to get the fitting done. I went somewhere other than the shop because they said they would have to send it out again and since it took so long to get it here, I really did not have the time to do that. 1 MONTH LATE! more

I went looking for my wedding dress along with my sister for the bridesmaid dresses and we had never had such a good experience. The 2nd gown i tried on was THE ONE. They made the experience very non-stressful. We were the only ones in the store so we had all their attention and it was WONDERFUL! Also, the Bridesmaid dress we found was VERY reasonably priced even more so than the bridal store chains. It was a wonderful experience and we definitely recommend the Bridal Center. Pros: Service Cons: It doesn't look nice at first, but once you get into the store it is wonderful more

I found the dress I wanted the first time I went in the store. I also found the dress at The Wedding Shoppe but the store in Plymouth was much more convienent for me. The first problem I had came when I was getting sized for my dress. I had tried on the dress they had in the store which fit me perfectly. Once I was measured they said I needed a different size which made no sense to me. Fortunately I didnt take their advice. Then I decided to order my bridesmaid dresses from there which was a huge mistake. I had the dresses I wanted picked out for almost a year. When my bridesmaids went in their to get sized they told them they could not pay for the dress until everyone had their messurements in...which was wrong and made things more difficult. Once everyone was done getting measured they had to go back again to pay. When the order was finally placed I got a call saying the dresses did not come in the color I wanted. Now the lady I was working with, Sandy, had been telling me the whole time I could get the dresses in that color. When I went in there to figure out what was going on nobody offered to help get the situation resolved. There was no apology, noboday said lets see how we can get this straightened out. They just stood there and said ""well what do you want to do"". I finally came to the decision to order the same dresses but in a different material in order to get the color I wanted. I thought everything was going to be fine until they said it was going to cost $40 more per dress because of the different material! Keep in mind this is after everyone already paid. When I said I would take my business somewhere else they offered to pay the difference. When I was considering ordering the dresses from a different place I talked to some one who told me that the material I originally wanted or thought I was getting is actually CHEAPER than the material the dresses are now comming in. It is now just over two months until my wedding and the dresses are not in yet!! Pros: They do offer nice dresses Cons: Too many to list... more

I am getting married in October 2008 and visited about five shops in the Twin Cities area. I gave this place a shot as it was personally recommended to me by two former brides. Pulling up to the store I thought it was going to be a dive. It's in a strip mall, with a lackluster sign, next to a pizza joint. Nothing spectacular from the outside. But, the service and quality of dresses couldn't have been better! Joey was just amazing and took the time to sit and talk with me, see what my vision was and helped me to find ""the dress"". Being that I went to this store first and had a whole weekend planned around the ocassion with sisters and mothers in from out of town, I didn't want to stop shopping even though I loved the dress. The staff was kind and gave me until the next day to confirm the purchase. After visiting David's Bridal (bride factory...no assistance) The Wedding Shoppe (St. Paul...great store, great service, very large) and Brides of France (no thanks) I took some late arriving family members back to the store. I tried it on again, loved it even more, got the confirmation I needed and bought that day. One whole year before my wedding. I paid an additional $15 for storeage there for one year. Seriously, I couldn't have asked for a better experience and would recommend them to anyone. They really seemed to care about making my dress perfect for me and letting me experiment and stay in the dress as long as I wanted! Pros: Attentive & thoughtfull staff, unique dresses Cons: Weird location in strip mall. Don't judge a book by its cover. more

My wedding was Sept. 15, 2007. I ordered my 4 bridesmaid dresses - 2 totally different styles and a flower girl dress at Bridal & Tux in Plymouth. I needed 2 larger sizes that flattered the girls. The associates were very helpful. worked with us and we selected a 2 piece halter. The sizing was difficult, the dresses needed some alterations but nothing unexpected. The other 2 bridesmaid dresses, were fitted on top and poodle type t-length skirt, they fit perfectly. The best part was ordering the flower girls, whom selected her dress from a magazine. We brought the picture to the owner of the shop hoping that she could get it for us and at a reasonable price. She didn't carry that brand/maker but was able to get it for us in the perfect size at a lower cost than what we could through the internet. All the dresses arrived earlier than predicted. I, and my bridesmaids, were very satisfied with our experience. It was an exciting time and were treated very warmly at the Bridal Center. I highly recommend Bridal & Tux Bridal Center in Plymouth for a great wedding experience. Pros: Great experience in choosing out gowns. We were treated super special. Cons: Could have a few more samples of larger than size 12 for trying on. more

If you are planning on getting married anytime soon or know somebody who is getting married (and you like them) I would urge them not to go to the Bridal and Tux Center (they have two locations St. Paul/Oakdale and Plymouth Four Seasons Mall). When I ordered my bridesmaids dress (from the Plymouth location) I was assured I would get the dress in a timely manner. I received the dress four days before the wedding and the person who measured me did it wrong, it was about 2 inches two small around the rib cage. I ordered a maternity dress and you'd think they would account for a growing body during pregnancy. The owner of the store has not done anything at this point to try to compensate me for the stress I went through, she was rude to me on the phone and refused to make sure that everything was going to work out okay. I feel like they got their money now it is my problem to figure this mess out. It is now three days before the wedding and the pregnant Maid of Honor still doesn't have a dress to wear down the isle. I have been in several weddings and have never been treated this poorly at a bridal shop in my life! Cons: Not a fun experience, very stressful!!! more
