Diana was kind and helpful from first time speaking on the phone and all through my visit trying on bridal gowns. She listened to me and made me great suggestions, she was patient and honest. Waste of time. 6/14/2011

This my second appointment ever. I arrived about 10 minutes early and they asked me to fill out a form and wait. That's fine I know I was early I'll wait my turn. My consultant greeted me and took me into a room to start trying on dresses. She did a good job of finding the shape I wanted but that's about it. I don't think a $3,000 budget is modest, but she did. I may have put on 6 or 7 gowns before she said ""let me know if you want to come back"". My appointment lasted maybe 40 minutes. more

Should have gone to David's Bridal 4/6/2011

Don't go here unless you have a lot of time, money, and emotional energy to waste--if you are planning a wedding, you probably don't. I went to the Bridal Garden because they carried the dress I was looking for and ultimately bought. I did have a very nice experience with my bridal consultant, Diana, who was kind and honest about my the dresses I tried on. I bought the first dress I tried on there, although Diana put me in at least 8 others to ease my mind. First mistake, I was told to order a size 8 because I am a 32C in the chest--but I am 5 feet tall and normally wear a 00 or XXS petite. I trusted them because I know bridal sizes run big, and figured they would fix it during alterations. Wrong. I was there 5 times for alterations (for $325) because the dress was massive every time, even given my ""large"" bust. Between the 2nd and 3rd fittings, they laughed at me and told me I was losing weight, and to go home and eat a milkshake. The fourth time I came back I brought a large, padded bustier to help fill some space in the top, which is the only reason the top now fit my body. Then I asked to tailor the bottom of the mermaid-fit dress to actually look mermaid not ballgown because they had not touched the bottom of the size 8 dress, and the seamstress, Delia, refused and told me it would ruin the dress. After being told ""there as a problem up in alterations,"" another bridal consultant, Debbie, came up to explain to Delia what I was asking her to do, and she pinned it only so slightly, refusing to do anymore. I also pointed out that the crinoline was sticking out in one spot, and the dress was a bit shorter on one side--they told me that was because it has not yet been pressed. I finally picked up my dress for my wedding which is now in 4 days. Hating the way it fit, I immediately called La Bella Moda in Conshohocken based on a friend's suggestion about their alterations department. They told me to come in immediately and I was in the car with the dress in less than 5 minutes. The seamstress there noticed right away that the crinoline was sticking out, there was way too much of it, the length was uneven, and there was about 5 inches too many all around. They were a delight to work with and will have my PREFECT dress for me tomorrow afternoon. Saving on sales tax in NJ is just not worth this horrible, nerve-racking experience. Of course after I vocalized my frustration with the Bridal Garden, my friends and acquaintances starting coming out of the woodwork with their own horror stories. Avoid this store at all costs! You can get better, more professional service elsewhere for sure. more

Wonderful Store with one drawback 3/21/2011

I had a fantastic experience at the Bridal Garden. I had fallen in love with a dress I saw at Saks in NY at a trunk show and the Bridal Garden was able to track it down for me and work VERY generously with me on the price (plus avoiding NY sales tax!). They have a beautiful selection and a great sales team (Danielle and Marry Ellen are the best!). For those who commented that the sales staff was ""snotty"", I sincerely disagree. I never saw anyone be rude to a customer any of the times I went there, and I was there all the time for about two months. Which leads me to the one problem. Alterations. It was nothing short of a nightmare. Salvaged only by the sales team intervening and at sometimes coddling the seamstress and at other times demanding that the seamstress do her job. Don't be scared off from going to the Bridal Garden by the bad reviews, it really is a wonderful store but do take your dress elsewhere to be altered until they replace their current seamstress (Spring of 2010). more

high-class high-quality store! 3/20/2011

I'm in love with my dress and I have Danielle at the Bridal Garden to thank for this! I came from NYC to buy my dress and I'm really thankful I did. Same dresses as Kleinfeld's but much better prices. They are willing to work with any price you are quoted for a dress from other stores which makes it worth the trip! The staff couldn't have been friendlier. Compliments when you come out in each gown, and nobody is breathing down your neck trying to make a sale. I let Danielle pick out dresses for me and I loved each dress I tried on more than the next. They carried the designer but not style of a bridesmaid dress I liked and they offered to have it sent from the designer for the girls to try on, they are extremely accommodating. I would recommend this store if you are looking for a high-class, high-quality bridal gown shopping experience. I couldnt be happier!\r \r more

Do Not Go Here 5/24/2010

DO NOT SHOP HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY AN EXPENSIVE GOWN,HAVE IT BUTCHERED BY ALTERATIONS AND HAVE NO RECOURSE FOR THE DAMAGE DONE. THEY ARE NOT NICE HERE,ARE EXTREMELY UNFRIENDLY,CONDESCENDING AND THE ALTERATIONS DEPARTMENT HAS NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE DOING:\r Purchased gown a year before the wedding.\r Called the store 8 months after my purchase to check the status of the gown. They didn't know. They called back later that day and said it JUST came in (I since found out from the manager it arrived 6 weeks prior but I never got notification).\r Went for a first fitting.\r Went back several more times..Once for the bustle (which was screwed up ) and for follow-ups. Each time I went, more problems occurred and previous problems were never corrected. It became an absolute nightmare. Three weeks before the wedding the gown had to be taken in (most brides gain or lose a few pounds I think so this shouldn't have been a major issue). It was taken in way too much and couldn't be zipped (the zipper was defective from the get-go)even tho I had lost another couple of pounds. It was decided to change the zipper. The new zipper was horrible..big and ugly and the gown material didn't hide it..It was fully exposed unlike the original zipper. Also, too much of the outer layer (the basic gown) was cut off..snip-snip-snip, and the under (slip?) layer was exposed. Also the gown was very wrinkled. I was told a week before the wedding that pressing the gown wouldn't get the wrinkles out ..that I would need to buy expensive underwear (makes\r no sense to me). This is contrary to what I was told at the first fitting which was that the wrinkles would come out in pressing. This is all days before the wedding. The second floor desk person, who I guess is in charge of alterations, was also very rude and insulting towards me the last time I went in..She blamed everything on my hips! (which by the way haven't grown since the gown was ordered). She actually started to poke them (the hips) the last time I was there. I left the store in tears. I couldn't believe the disaster they made of my once beautiful gown. The gown that nearly fit at the first appointment. So now I have a wrinkled wedding gown, a bustle that won't ""work"" an exposed zipper, the underskirt showing through and a gown that basically doesn't fit me.\r The owner is sticking by her no refund policy. Do you believe that?\r I'll be wearing my gf's wedding gown from David's. more
