My Border Collie loves Brian's 4/29/2012

My Border Collie Shane loves to go to Brian?s Kennels. I was not sure how he would take to boarding over night. I have had him in other places and he seemed depressed when I picked him up. Last summer I started using Brian?s and I am pleased with the services and the response of Shane. He is always very happy to go to the kennel and seems very content when I pick him up. We usually get him groomed and the service is excellent. I am very comfortable to leave him knowing that he is safe and happy. The staff has been there a long time they are excellent. The only con is I wish they had more Sunday hours but due to Shanes disposition I will give five stars. more

Worst kennel ever! 2/10/2011

Stay away! I brought my GSD to Brian's Kennel's for a week and he came back with Kennel Cough! Not only did they not call me or my emergency contact, Brian himself insisted the condition was pre existing! When I went to pick him up, I went out back against the orders of the girl working the front desk and I was appalled to find urine soaked linens everywhere! The place was disgusting! When I went out to my car to get my camera so I could take a picture of the crate my dog was in, complete with 3-4 days worth of feces still in it, the girl told to to stay out of the back or she'd have me arrested for trespassing. I refused to pay, and took my dog. Brian can take me to court. I don't know what's worse, Brian's ugly attitude or what he was doing to my and other people's dogs. This place is worse than abusive. If you have any respect for your pets DO NOT BRING THEM HERE! Also - I'm appaled at the amount of fake reviews for Brian's kennels on the internet. Every positive review I've read is written like promotional material. Obviously someone's trying to pad his reputation. ESAD Brian! more

My dog died at Brian's Kennels 6/28/2010

I booked for my pet for 17 days at Brian?s kennels while my family was away on holiday in England. On the 6th day I got an emergency phone call and was told that our pet died unexpected and suddenly! We had a meeting with the kennel owner after we came back and were shocked to find that there were no any emergency measures taken to try to save her! The owner?s excuses were that the two staff in the office, one was pregnant yet without a car, the other one with a car had just working with them, therefore not suitable to take the emergency procedure. In his business, any staff, new or old, all has responsibility to take the dog to the hospital. Why he did not give instructions to this new staff? For that matter, why he did not rush the dog to the hospital himself? There was about 45 minutes to one hour, according to them, until my dog died. The nearest animal hospital is a 15-minute drive. In the entire crisis, what did all these people do? Absolutely nothing! My dog?s life has been wasted because of these people?s incompetence! I would not like our sorrow story to repeat to any pet owner. I certainly would not recommend this kennel to anyone. In response to Brina's Kennels: Anxious to distance himself from his responsibility in the death of my dog, Chrissy, the owner of the Brian?s Kennels was eager to claim that Chrissy had a pre-existing heart condition. I have to disappoint him there. In Chrissy?s nine years life, never once had she been treated for any heart issues or any other health problems. She was a healthy, active dog when she went to the kennel, as can be verified from Chrissy?s 9 year vet records. The owner said that the time span of Chrissy?s heart attack was fifteen minutes before she passed away; this is another one of the inconsistent stories he has told us. When we met him, he told us that Chrissy started having breathing trouble at 8:15am, and then his staff told my emergency contact person that Chrissy died at 9:00 am. So, it certainly was not the fifteen minutes he claimed. According to his original story, it was forty five minutes! Plenty of time for them to rush the dog to the 15-minute drive hospital if they were capable! But then, he told us how incompetent his staff was where the emergency measures were concerned. He said that one of the staff was pregnant and without a car, yet, the other one with a car, because she had just started working with them, this somehow precluded her from taking emergency measures?I still don?t know why! For that matter, where was the owner himself when Chrissy died anyway? My emergency contact person said that she did not meet the kennel owner when she arrived. Given to the circumstance, should not the owner spoken with her had he been present? The owner advises pet owners to let caretakers know of their pets? health conditions. To other kennels, perhaps, but not to this one since even in the face of an emergency they appear incapable of taking action, at least in Chrissy?s case. Anyway, who would want to board their pet at a questionable kennel where a dog died! Cons: They are incomtetent! more
